Congratulations MV! Lovely pic of Lola and Claree, lovely photos too!!
Just realised that I've forgotten to sort myself a TENS machine out. So off out today to do this! Oops.
Cleo- I was told at 35w that baby was back to back. However I found they turn a lot between then and now (38w) as she's now the right way round. I was using a birthing ball and spending a bit of time crouched on all fours, I don't know if this helped or whether she would have just turned anyway. But at 32 weeks the baby has lots of time yet to shift.
With regards to maternity clothes - I was also frustrated about the lack of choice in the shops. Found ordering stuff from Next to be ok for work clothes and H&M good for my basics such as vests and tshirts.
Keep waking up in the night with period type cramps and being convinced that baby is going to come soon, only for the pains to stop after a few hours. It's ok though as need to top up my energy levels before giving birth so having a reasonably lazy day today

Morning all,
Congratulations to all the births
Getting more & more tired now - have to have an hour nap after work everyday! So unlike me!
Only 9 days left at work! Last day is 6th September (36+1) (maternity leave officially starts on 23rd Sept but 2 week annual leave before being taken) but not working a full week up till then - next week i will only be working 2.5 days! Growth scan next wednesday afternoon! & Antenatal class on Friday - an all day course! Anyone else had one that lastest all day?
Looking forward to not being at work - never thought i would be saying that! - lots of washing to do - curtains for baby's room to be made!
RE: mums/MIL being unreasonable - i totally sympathise - my mum has been a total pain - first she wanted to be at the birth - took me a while but i said i didn't want her there! Then she said she wanted to wait outside whilst i was in Labour - again took me a while to bring it up - but i told her at the weekend i wouldn't feel comfortable with her waiting outside - i would feel pressured - she made an excuse that it would be more for my DH but i can see right through that! So my advice would be to tell them outright - if you come across moody - so what - blame it on hormones!
I am hoping that my mum will get the keys to her new house about 2 weeks before i am due so she won't bug me whilst i am on maternity leave & will hopefully reduce the amount of times she pops round once baby is here! (I love her to bits - but she is a bit too excited & suffocating atm)
I can't remember who was thinking about gifts for baby shower thing for vegans etc. - but i like the idea of giving a plant (long lasting) so it can grow with your baby!
How many of you are having/had a baby shower? Did you organise it yourself? I keep getting asked & when i say no they all act surpirsed & ask why!
I haven't brought much maternity clothes due to my size - but i have invested in some over the bump leggings - lifesaver! I live in maxi dresses & leggings with long tops that are just bigger sizes at the moment! I'm lucky that work don't mind what i wear - i'm too tight to buy maternity work trousers! One item of clothing that i am struggling with is knickers! Even really big sizes don't go over my bump
Sorry i didn't realise how long this post was going to be :rotfl:

Morning all.
Had a nice day baby shopping with hubby yesterday. He swapped his day off to help out someone at work so we made the most of it and went to get some items. We've had to be careful with what we've bought as he was out of work since Feb till about 6 weeks ago and then we had to wait for what seemed ages as he's paid monthly like I am.
I caught up with a friend for a coffee in town, well actually I had a cold drink, hahaha before we went and was telling her where we were going etc. She then got all excited and wanted to come along, asking if we could pick her up on the way after she'd driven home. Wasn't sure how to react as didn't know how serious she was, but to me was a bit odd as I personally I just enjoy my husband and I deciding on what to get. She didn't mention it again so neither did I.
Getting nervous about having my baby now. Goes it waves where I don't think about it too much to then it's all I can think about. I'll admit I have thoughts of just wanting a c-section, knowing a date and time to be at the hospital is secured and just turning up, none of this am I in labour am I not thoughts and should we go to hospital now or do we wait a bit longer etc etc. Then that goes away and I think, no I can do this, my body is amazing and try and tell myself not to be so silly.
My midwife comes next week to my house to discuss my birth plan and I have no idea what I want due to the thoughts I've just mentioned. I don't like this new feeling of nerves as feel I should be excited.Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160 -
I'm back from having the GTT test at the hospital. As I suspected, I had lucozade, followed by a lovely cheese sandwich, given to me as I'd had to fast. Great service!
Should know in a few days if there is anything wrong.DS born November 2013 :smileyhea0 -
Oh what gorgeous babies!! Congrats Claree and MV!Beautiful babies MV and Claree. I want one! Only 9 more weeks to go...
Me too! and me too!!Is anyone else annoyed with the range of maternity clothes on the hgh street- well anywhere where I can physically go in and try stuff on. Everywhere I go they tell me they don't stock instore and it's all online- apart from the normal baby shops like Mothercare/JojoMamanBebe type shops.
I'm only after cheapy stuff for work
I swear by New Look's maternity clothes. Some store have it but if not you can buy online. If you spend over £45 it's free delivery to home and then you can take anything you don't want back to any New Look store near you. There's a fab sale on at the moment I got some jeans for £6!

Well I am in a better mood now, for having just got the post.
1. My card for hubby for our 2nd wedding anniversary has arrived, panicked a bit as only created it on Monday evening and our wedding anniversary is bank holiday Monday so thought it might not turn up in time, but phew it has and looks fab.
2. I WON a competition :j.....entered a make over competition in my local paper and got a letter to say I'm the winner. Its valid until the 29th November which is great as means I can look forward to being pampered with my hair and make up done when baby is a few months old. Did toy with the idea of getting it done whilst I'm pregnant and having 'wow'photos of me with a bump but as its only 4+5 until my due date I'd hate to mess the people around with having to cancel incase baby is early or even more so going into labour whilst doing the photo shoot :rotfl:Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160 -
Well done you! I'd have the pics done with baby bump...they might be able to squeeze you in soon. XDS born November 2013 :smileyhea0

Thank you.
It would be nice to have them done with baby bump. My hubby isn't one for photos as I did like the idea of us having ones done whilst I was pregnant with his hands on my tummy etc.
I've contacted them to say I was the winner so waiting to hear back from them, might see if they can fit me in, would be nice if they can within a few weeks as I am off work on holidays due to working in a school.Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160
