Congrats to all the babies and mummies, wondering if mine will follow the girl trend or not.
Keep thinking its a girl, then a boy. Really haven't got a clue.
As for mat leave I don't trust my employer to get my pay right, think that this is why I'm not leaving work until Sat 24th and I'm due on the 27th, I went over both times and I feel ok working.
It's no harder than looking after my two pre schoolers anyway.OPs so far £42,139

Congrats to MV and Claree and glad your partner made it in time for the birth MV!
I'm beginning to feel like my pregnancy is dragging on a bit now, I've been off work since June and on restricted duties before then, and starting to get a bit bored now but know I should appreciate this time as it's the calm before the storm.
Been shopping for baby stuff - Sainsbury's are doing 25% off all clothes til Monday so there are some bargains to be had that way.
Re the mat leave question, both times I have had to finish early due to circumstances beyond my control but now I'm 34 weeks I'm feeling absolutely shattered all the time, I take my hat off to anyone who can work much past this stage. Doesn't help having a toddler who wakes up every morning at 5 am singing 'I can sing a rainbow', although I suppose maybe he is training me for the months ahead?0 -
an9i77, i feel like time is going a lot slower now aswell. Flew past from about 12-28 weeks but is dragging now! Would just love a good night's sleep where i dont wake up loads with hip-ache or needing to pee!

Yey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been waiting for Sainsburys to have 25% off as I bought some sleepsuits months ago and they are just lovely. Thanks for posting that.:D
I take my hat off to anyone who works over 34 weeks too as that's where I am now and with 4 more weeks to go I'll be taking my hat off to myself IF I make it! Although I've bought my train pass now for the month and I was charged twice (in error) so it will be hugely annoying if I don't get there!0 -
He was fine and took to having a baby around really well. He's not shown any jealousy, though we did have a few more tantrums than usual in the early weeks. I think it helps that his childminders looks after a little girl who she's had from 6 months, so he's already spent a lot of time around a baby. How has your DS been?
It is a bit disorientating at first, I didn't realise how independent DS1 had become til I was back to having a helpless newborn again! I'm sure you'll be fine
DS seemed a bit confused this evening. He hasn't settled to bed particularly well either, and normally once he goes to bed that's it for the evening.
OH picked him up a bit earlier from nursery this evening so he could spend a bit of time here with the baby before bed. We also have OH's parents here till tomorrow so the house is a bit chocka..that's probably confused him too as they picked him up from nursery yesterday and dropped him this morning.
I feel kind of guilty spoiling his status quo in a way..has anyone else felt like that? I had also forgotten how hard a newborn can be. Lola is lovley but since she's got home we're struggling to settle her, and I am finding breast feeding very soreThinking of giving her a bottle of formula before bed and also feeling bad about that!
Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0
