    Aww, beautiful babies ladies :D

Huge congrats MV :T The birth sounds a lot like my experience with Olly! I'm so glad we have our gorgeous babies now after a bumpy start last year.

Congratulations MV! What a fast birth! She's gorgeous! X

Claree your little girl is gorgeous too, you are both making me want the next 15 weeks to hurry up! X

Re: maternity leave I'm hoping to start leave at 38 weeks but will take 2 weeks leave prior to that so will finish at 36 weeks. I worked upto 38 weeks last time, I was so uncomfortable but I had to work that long for financial reasons. I then went 2 weeks overdue so was fed up but I would have been too irritable to work! I'm fed up of work now!

I feel so achy at the moment, my back and stomach then I've been having lots of headaches and nose bleeds. I feel like my stomach is being over stretched so not sure if the aches are from that. I can't believe I've got just over 2 months left of work until I finish!

I reckon we'll be finishing at the same time then! My last day will be Friday 25 October.

Hugs for aches...I wake up multiple times in the night with painful hips.

  • Thanks everyone. I'm feeing as disorientated as I did when DS was born! I was hoping I'd be a bit more 'together' this time but nope! Guess it just takes time to welcome a new family member. Think I'm worrying that DS may feel a bit displaced too..BB how did your DS1 cope when you first brought Ollie home?

Lily - I know it seems like an uphill climb, but all will be well for you this time I just know it :) x

Oh dear. DH had a bit of a moan during the night, because I was making too much of a palava when turning over onto my other side.

I've really 'popped' this week. Looking quite pregnant now, instead of just fat. how about you? X

He was fine and took to having a baby around really well. He's not shown any jealousy, though we did have a few more tantrums than usual in the early weeks. I think it helps that his childminders looks after a little girl who she's had from 6 months, so he's already spent a lot of time around a baby. How has your DS been?

It is a bit disorientating at first, I didn't realise how independent DS1 had become til I was back to having a helpless newborn again! I'm sure you'll be fine :)

Did the person who ordered the scan for you not say why you were having it? I've had them in two pregnancies and both times I knew why and neither were for high BMI.

Yup I thought it was for a "growth scan" as we have a family history of diabetes and a high bmi. The sonographer and different registrar were quite bemused. Such a waste of resources!
