Hi everyone, I have been lurking since the 12 weeks thread but in my 'first time paranoia' I haven't dared post yet but today I am 24+1 due on 26th November - so I'm feeling brave!
I also want to say how much confidence and reassurance I've had reading these threads over the weeks!!
So far touch wood everything has been ok, I have slight placenta praevia so waiting for 34 week scan to see f it's moved and we are team yellow!0 -
Hi Vic, good to see you here!
Clare - love the wall sticker! I have bought similar ones with trees, deer, hedgehogs, owls, etc. Can't wait to put them up but still got to paint the room and then wait 3 weeks before putting the stickers up apparently!
Welcome Finch !
So glad it's a cool cloudy day today, sick of being uncomfortable in the heat and also sick of people asking me if I'm uncomfortable in this heat! I complain about the heat every summer, I am a winter person, of course I'm uncomfortable!! Lol

Hello to all the new posters and good luck to all those near labour!
Finally been paid from work, and got slightly more than I was expecting too, so can finish getting bits and pieces for my hospital bag now! Really want to go into town but 1) it's bucketing down rain here today, and 2) I've got to wait in for a parcel (though it is for bump, so don't mind too much.) only other issue is DH thoughtfully took the last of the biscuits, grapes and chocolate with him to work, so I'm seriously running short on snackage today...and I'm down to 2 tea bags!
Hope everyone has a good day, one step closer to the weekend!

Poppy I'm with you re the heat! I'm also a winter person, hate it when it's too hot usually. When I announced my pregnancy at Christmas I told everyone that Sod's law says we will have a heatwave this year now - no one believed me!0

Hi ladies,
I'm really struggling with lower back pain today, dont usually get it but i can barely walk and i'm in work
I finish for maternity leave next tues, which i cant wait for, but typically its summer hols so no rest for me with dd to look after!!
Vic - i think it depends on how u feel, allthough u wont know until the time comes. With dd i finished at 36 weeks, and will be 36 weeks finishing this time, allthough theres a chance i'll be having baby at 39 weeks, so it will only leave me 3 weeks.
When did everyone buy stuff and pack a hospital bag?? I still havent bought anything yet, and could be going a week early! Lol. To be honest i'm just far to tired after work to go to a shop!!
35+1Still here..... but working on that!0 -
Thanks littleskintdragon. I will be almost 37 weeks by the time I am thinking about going off. I should be on 'light' duties when I go back in September.DS born November 2013 :smileyhea0

Re hospital bag, I'm starting to get it properly organised now, and I'm 33+5 today. Though still have to wash babys things, so it'll be a wee while yet before I feel it's done properly (and then I'll prob re-pack loads anyway)
Where's the cheapest place to get muslin cloths from? And what size is best, the most common seems to be 70x70cm?0 -

I got a couple of packs from Tesco, not sure if they are the cheapest, but they are fine. I don't think the sizes differ much and I don't think it makes any difference. They are useful for loads of things, but I mainly use them for wiping drool!Got married 13/11/10

Well one of our lovely nieces has taken my two year old to an indoor play centre today so I've been to Matalan (big one not far from her home so figured I might as well) Also went in big Boots to collect my Bounty pack. My local one is only small. Both shops had gorgeous baby clothes on sale. So hard to resist but we have so much already. (second boy) But I did get what I was after which was some new nighties and briefs for my hospital bag. They had a big range of nighties all with buttons to open chest. And thin dressing gowns too if anyone needs one. I already have two so again resisted.

Asda living did some nice ones, i've got boy ones so not sure if they did neutral/girls... but think i paid £3.50 for 3 of them so not too bad, less expensive than some of the other places..0
