I think i've bred a houdini, tried to go into early labour 33+5 on saturday... 2 days in a hospital 30 miles from my own as my hospital didn't have any cots, but back home at 34 weeks with a tired and lazy baby... now on early maternity leave, very bored and ended up coming across a lot of forums, and have been researching everything i can get for free!
Any other ideas for maternity leave, with strict instructions of relaxing? 6 weeks i think i'll go spare!x0 -

Good luck Nutshell! How exciting!! Hope it goes well for you all.
Thanks for the advice re hospital bags. I think I'm just going with wheelie suitcase. It's bigger than a weekend style wheelie case but not huge and I'm going to split my things from baby's things to make things easier as someone suggested.
Had a joy this evening...OH and I have both done an 11hr shift and then come home and had to clear the entire upstairs out ready for new carpets being fitted tomorrow. Way too physical for me! Sweated like a pig! Thankfully my other half is really strong and useful with it!
We've also taken apart the bed so it means sleeping on a mattress on the floor tonight which isn't the best. And we have no curtains as we have taken them to be lined with a blackout lining so no doubt it's a bad nights sleep, woke up as soon as dawn arises and then a long long day tomorrow. Can't see me being in a mood though...new carpets is so exciting! Just realised I can also leave work early tomorrow if I want so I can have my whooping cough jab! It's a bad day when you'd rather have a needle shoved in your arm than be at work!
Watched an old one born every minute last night which I thought may scare me but actually I feel like I can do this (today anyway!!!)
Keep well everyone0 -
Just to add to the school year debate, we found in primary school that all the naughty kids were September kids because they were bored. I'm a mid-August birthday and did really well in all my education. OH is a July birthday but he's only just got his degree at 37 because he couldn't be bothered with sixth form. I don't really think there's any rhyme of reason to it.
Was it Girlzmum with the gorgeous photo of the baby boy James? He's beautiful.

Katielouise - depends what hobbies you have I suppose. I know
Ill have loads of programmes recorded on the sky box that I can finally get round to watching, but also I want to cross stitch a Christmas stocking for winegum as I did one for each of my nephews so only fair that my own daughter gets one too! It'll take me at least 70 hours to sew then got to get my mum to do the sewing machine part to make it into the actual stocking in time for this years ChristmasAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
I can't say it ever occurred to me about ages/starting school, though my EDD isn't till 2 November, but OH birthday is October and he barely passed his exams as he wasn't interested, whereas me, born in June, came top in my class through school and graduated with the highest marks on my course - I think a lot just depends more on the indivual child not just their age, some will be ready for school sooner than othersAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

No news here yet. I'm unlikely to get anything else tonight as delivery is full. Bummer! Just been speaking to a lady who has been here since Friday with no sign of going into labour yet!
Hope everyone is ok?0 -
