Hi ladies!

Not posted in a while as I've not really felt like I had much to add. I'm hot, counting down the days until my maternity leave starts, but generally not too bad.

I spent last week in Florence which was very VERY hot. Sadly couldn't lounge around in my underwear as I was sharing a room with my dad. So that would have been a lillte awkward!

My last day in the office is eight weeks today and it's starting to feel very real.

COMP, we are due date and maternity leave twins sooo looking forward to finishing work! Off to trawl babies r us for some bargains!

I had to hand a form in by 20 weeks to get onto the nhs antenatal classes near me, which seemed really early to us but then I suppose they need to know numbers to plan when to actually run the classes. We have also booked for a private day class in case the nhs ones are rubbish, wouldn't have booked but it was only £60 for the both of us including lunch which seemed reasonable

I'm seriously considering going on maternity leave sooner (currently due to finish 36+1) but I am having constant Brixton hicks and feeling very uncomfortable. However, I've been told by my manager and two colleagues to 'keep my legs crossed until the day after I finish work' as they don't think they can spread my workload between them. Have been treated like a constant inconvenience by my boss and she even ranted to me the other day about my friend who was 'enjoying her maternity leave too much' and hasn't said if she's coming back yet (her little girl is only 5 months for goodness sake!). So don't know what to do...I would only bring it forward by a week ish but I know I'd be made to feel guilty.

Thank god it's the weekend!

lobey, if you feel like you need to finish earlier you can always put in a request. Lots of people finish a good bit earlier than 36 weeks, you shouldnt be made to feel guilty by your work.

Hey ladies just a quickie, will catch up later but just wanted to let you know i had a boy at 326 this morning weighing 9lb 11oz! VERY quick labour but we were home by 7am and are both doing well so far! No name yet Xx

AFM, been weeding and gardening as vigorously as possible in the hope that this moves things on. Was still feeling low this morning, but the exercise has made me feel a bit better!

I had my baby shower today and spent the first 2 hours feeling exhausted! This is probably why you shouldn't arrange your baby shower yourself! I feel so pathetic when I'm this tired. I'm gonna try and use my boots voucher with the 22% discount to stock up my hospital bag but I'm also tempted by the babiesrus discount... 30+1
