Claree how long is it before your Mum gets back? I can't imagine volunteering for something like that at this stage so you deserve a medal. Take care and hope you're feeling better soon.

A week on Sunday :( I shouldn't moan too much cause there's not a lot that I have to do - basically just feed him - but it means I'm not in my own house and I can't go anywhere.

OH's just emailed to say he's reserved me a fan in Argos to help with cooling down at night, bless him.
  • Just got back from the midwife - all is physically ok with me and baby, but baby still only just engaged so I've been booked in for a sweep on Monday and told they'll look to induce in about 9 days time if Pickle doesn't arrive before then.

I'm really good at keeping things together in front of strangers but found myself weeping all the way home. It doesn't help that it's another hot day here and I'm starting to feel very uncomfortable and guilty that I don't want to be pregnant any more after taking a very long time to conceive. The other thing that's annoying me is that I know in a relatively short space of time I won't be pregnant any more and will have a whole new range of things to struggle with but I can't help feeling really low and tearful at the minute...

Huge hugs Oscar. You have no idea how many times I've broke down after coming out of an appointment. It's often a huge anti climax where you expect you'll be told something and end up with 'we'll see how it goes'

Don't feel guilty, being pregnant is HARD - I'm sure I'll not get much disagreement on here to that. Having a baby will be hard too, and you will struggle, but it'll be the most worthwhile struggle you'll ever face. Try to keep your head up love and remember we're here if you need a rant and we will understand.

Oscar - hang on in there. At least you have an end date in sight when you will be rewarded with meeting your baby and all this will feel like a distant memory. I do know how you're feeling. I can't imagine having to go for nearly another month and then possibly 12 days after that. I am seriously fed up now. It does strange things to your body and hormones so don't feel guilty. It doesn't mean you will love your much longed for baby any less, just that your body is fed up and exhausted now.

EDIT: This is presumably the start of feeling guilty about everything you do or don't do from now on!!

  • Hugs Oscar!!!

I am supposed be working from home today.... Waiting for pram to be delivered!!! Delivery text yesterday... Between 7.30 and 17.30!!!

Have had a quiet week as everyone away... Have a long list of stuff to do... But seems to be getting longer and longer!!! Went to pay some bills and log into some bank accounts last night... All the sites down and some of my password weren't working... So wasted 2 hours last night... Then spent another hour on the phone this morning with them just telling me username and passwords I Already knew!!!

Knicker situation.... I have been wearing pads for the last few weeks... Other wise I would be walking round with a bag full of knickers!!!

MV - I had a real crying breakdown last week before OH went away. Not because he was going away... Because we got home at 1am from holiday and he took the suitcase upstairs... I said why didn't leave the suitcase so i could get my dirty washing out and he could to. Even though I had asked twice to bring his dirty washing down... He still hadn't just before left and he heard me tell the eldest to bring his down and there was a big pile of washing in the kitchen!!! So I just started crying and couldn't stop... When I finally told him what was wrong... He went and got it... If he had done it in the first place... Argghhhhh

Big hugs Oscar :( just think it will all be over soon, I agree pregnancy is not pleasant and going overdue even less pleasant (I went 14 days over with DS2)

I've just had a little cry too ds2 knocked hot soup all over my leg, bump and settee I sorted myself out then went to clean settee but the soup has taken some of the colour off the arm of the settee (leather settee) needless to say I wasn't pleased so told him off then felt guilty for telling him off so cried lol

Take that list with a pinch of salt....I've just read the first 2 'categories' and 90% of the stuff listed is far from essential. A pillow?! Shoes?! For a newborn baby?!
Totally agree! I would rather have the full list & then decide if I want to buy stuff than think I may be missing things. I crossed shoes off straight away too (and some things are duplicated in different categories). I'm not in a rush to buy a high chair either. As I am due at the end of October I am also mindful that friends/ family (as well as being likely to buy when baby is born), will be asking about what to buy for Christmas. Therefore if I think it is a 'post 3 months' need, I will try not to buy. It does feel a bit arrogant to be assuming people will want to buy for our baby - but I'm fairly sure it will happen.

Sorry I really am being dull... so do I use the base im my car and snap the car seat in and out then just use the seat with seatbelt and without the base on OH's? I promise I will get it all out and try it this weekend in both cars. :o

Haven't read the other thread yet but a word of advice if you will need to swap over a lot, they are heavy (or the one I have is). We are going to have one in each car. The maxi cosi base which we are having seem to resell for a reasonable price when you have finished with them. I have bought one on e bay already & hope to collect another one this weekend.

Hugs to all of you who are feeling it with the heat etc. Just make sure you put yourselves first & don't overdo things. If I could find a wagging finger smiley it would be here :p.

Thankfully I am OK with the weather. Air con in the office is working well. There must be an advantage to being overweight pre-pregnancy & that seems to be I am used to carrying weight in the heat! Weight still less than when I got pg (although this is still very overweight). 'Friendly' colleagues keep reminding me how they 'really clapped the weight on in the last trimester' - so that's something to look forward to, eh? And there was me being pleased with myself.

Was just coming on to post that. I have been sent some money off vouchers too but assume won't be able to use both.

This royal baby is good news!
