I was gonna get the maxi cosi familyfix base but the nearest stock is in bristol!! (I live in edinburgh...)
  • Hi ladies!

Not posted in a while as I've not really felt like I had much to add. I'm hot, counting down the days until my maternity leave starts, but generally not too bad.

I spent last week in Florence which was very VERY hot. Sadly couldn't lounge around in my underwear as I was sharing a room with my dad. So that would have been a lillte awkward!

My last day in the office is eight weeks today and it's starting to feel very real.

    Hope everyone's feeling ok

I tried for that too! I'm 'only' in South Yorkshire so only 135 mile trip for me.

This is the link to the coupon for use in store - although not sure if it only works if you have received it direct. Can someone try it & I'll delete if it doesn't work.

  • Hi all, hope everyone's still managing in this heat.
MW appointment yesterday, she was running over 30 mins late so I ended up sat melting in the waiting room as they're not allowed to put the air con on while they are doing building work, to say I was unamused was a slight understatement!! Then to make it better she weighed me again (depressing!) and vampired more blood!! (Anyone else's taken blood at 36 weeks?) So I did the only thing I could to cheer me up when I got out of there and went and scoffed a big slice of red velvet cake!! :D
Just about packed a bag with enough for labour and an overnight stay, and have a pile of stuff out that OH can pick up if I'm in any longer. Starting to feel a bit more real now, think I've been in denial the last 8 months!! Now just need to finish this decorating and work out where ds1 will be going when small decides to appear!!

Oscar-hope you're OK today, I swear more hormones fly round in those days you're overdue, I cried the whole 12 days I was with DS :( just get relaxing and enjoy these last few days, oh and turn your phone off if you don't wanna put up with the continual questions ( it makes for some highly amusing frantic voice mails and texts when you turn it back on!!!)

Continualdiamond- love the pic of your little lady :) We've been to window to the womb twice and I love the staff there, always make me giggle and make it an enjoyable experience

Wish I could be more help on the car seat front, that was left to OH to research!!

    35+5 eek!

Hi all, hope everyone is surviving the heat still, especially those in bold! Weather here can't make up its mind what it's doing, one minute it's lovely and sunny and then it gets all dark and we have thunder and heavy rain -luckily, I had sun for the walk down to the docs for my 32 weeks check up earlier!

Everything fine with bean, blood pressure up slightly from normal, but still nothing to worry about - was told just to take things easy in the heat so came home to sit with my feet up and enjoyed a bowl of ice cream lol! Also got my whooping cough vaccine as well, been putting it off as I really really hate needles! Was a bit slow though and asked for it in my left arm as I'm right handed, but normally sleep on my left side so hope it's not too painful tonight.

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

I had mine yesterday & it felt really uncomfortable if i wanted to sleep on the side it was done - she also done mine quite high in the arm & it's sore to lift my arm above a certain height :(

    Hope your's is better x

My appointment went well yesterday - GTT results - normal & good iron levels etc.

Explained about sickness on Mon/Tues & the pain underneath my ribs - but because no protein in urine & blood pressure actually lower than it has been all pregnancy (find that strange!) nothing to worry about at the moment, just to get urine & BP checked every week

When did most of you start antenatal classes? I only got told about them yesterday & need to phone up & book

    30+1
  • Nessie - i still havent booked on to any antenatal allthough i do intend to!! Think people usually do them 20 something weeks where i am (i'm 33+3! Lol)
Still here..... but working on that!
  • Thanks for lovely comments - it's comforting to know that other people have been feeling emotional and I'm not the only overdue lady blubbing a lot. When I was at the midwife's the receptionist told me that of the bunch of ladies due at the same time there's only me and 1 other who've not had ours yet.

Think I will ask OH to spread the word about when an induction might happen to manage the relly's expectations. If it comes earlier then it's a bonus!

Ah, babies r us have been clever. Taken the items I wanted off sale so that when you use the code it takes it to the same price again. Cheeky.
