My last samsung laptop came with a small paper booklet with start up instructions and a list of helpline phone numbers for all countries. Perhaps they don't do this any more?
Just checked - Samsung tech support in UK is 08445456523I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -
Well I can recommend Ebuyer for there quick customer service.
Something that the computer was doing even before my big mistake was when I clicked onto websites the page only loaded the writing not the pictures I had to refresh the page for it to load correctly.
Also I had at least one blue screen error message a day just while surfing the net
And lastly I could not sign into my virginmedia account because it said my java script was not turned on & I did ask this question on here & it is all as it should be but virginmedia would not work
Now I don't know if they are all errors of windows 8 or errors with the computer softwear installed on the laptop. Either way I was not impressed as this was a brand new machine.
Ebuyer is issuing me with a refund so I have packed her up & she is going to be picked up sometime tomorrow.
Yes the not being able to use it was my fault but the other errors were not.
This now leaves me with no laptop again.

Would this be the time to remind you that you can get a lemon even if you buy new?
You should be able the return the warranty.0 -
I Know, now do you believe I am unlucky with computers lol.
Right the blue screen crashes & the not loading the web pages correctly only writing no pictures is this caused by windows 8? or by the i3Core? or just a computer that is a lemon?
The i3 Core was quick but kept coming up with all the above errors.
I have found this one which has the same specs as the one I am returning but is a Acer V5 This is why I would like to know if it's the specs of the one I am returning that is the problem or just a lemon or windows 8 problem

Sorry to not answer the previous question (I'll have a look at it). Regarding the "3 year click & collect warranty" is that a general OR specific laptop warranty and where did you buy it.0
-
Thank You,
The warranty is for Samsung brought from ebay for £10 for three years. I could re list it on Ebay, that's not so much a problem as finding myself a new working laptop.
I have also found this one, it seems to have good reviews the only problem for me is it's a black keyboard on a black laptop. The keyboard does light up around the keys so not sure if that would help in daylight or not. It does come in Silver also though I am struggling to find a silver one.

A 3 year collect and return warranty for £10 doesn't sound right but I guess you'd rather not talk "samsung" again...
Sorry - you may have told us what your reqs are already; if you want dedicated graphics the Amazon Acer looks ok; I'm not a fan of Acer but there's not alot of difference between budget laptops. Here's 2 Asus for discussion
£300 @ebuyer http://www.ebuyer.com/505624-asus-x501a-laptop-x501a-xx402h
£370 @saveonlaptops http://www.saveonlaptops.co.uk/ASUS_K55A-SX376H_red_1337331.html0 -
Is there a reason why you are not a fan of Acer?
And what would cause blue screens & websites not loading with pictures just writing?
Is that down to the i3 core? or intergrated graphics?
