Windows 8 is a new OS. That why there are constant updates to an OS.
You wrote that the Samsung ran like a dream earlier. Kerplunk!

You started off with wanting a Windows 7 machine. Stable OS, better the devil you know. Now you are moving into unknown territory and are blaming everyone but yourself.
I can tell you that there are some sharp minds on this forum. Some very good at what they do, helping people here and behind the scenes.
Then we have you. Constantly changing your mind and insisting that everything that you read takes precedence over what we tell you. :)

So, it just best that you do whatever you want to do, rather than start multiple threads on the Tech forum.
I can comfortably tell you, without even checking, that you have started more threads on here than anyone else in the past two weeks.
In the end, the only people who will bother with your threads will be non-techies like yourself.
Then you'll be just as well asking your questions on the Competitions board.

You shouted me down about the keyboard and like all your other criteria, that too has fallen by the wayside.

You are isolating yourself from precisely the people who can help you out in a crisis.
I deliberately stayed out of your recovery debacle because I didn't want to deal with it. But I have all of the Samsung Recovery Admin Tools to hand. But in no way did I have the inclination to go through the issues with you.

Just want to explain to you how it looks from the other side.

If you do not want to help me then that is fine, not a problem. I also have said thank you on all your posts to me, I do understand that this takes time & effort.

You chose not to help me when I messed the Samsung laptop up that's fine it was your choice to make.

I am sorry I have made lots of differnt threads asking different questions, I was not aware how many threads people can make was a certain amount?, or that people are counting them!. I really do not see that as a issue at all, as it's a help forum & I made them to ask for help.

yes I wanted a brand new windows 7 home premium, sorry I made a thread asking for one, but I could not find one & nor could anyone else so that is why I then started to look for a windows 8

I am not blaming anyone, I clearly said I was the one who broke the new laptop the thread name should give you that clue.

I am listening & taking on board what people are telling me.

^ You need to learn to quote and reply in the same post instead of posting loads of separate replies.
Making lots of different threads also makes it appear you are a spammer or someone who simply wants to get their post count up to look "famous".

Don't really understand what your query is now as the conversation has obviously moved on from when you rendered the recovery useless. From the few posts I read, as the recovery had started, it wiped parts of the OS so there technically wasn't one installed.
Should have just installed afresh, used the original product code and you would have been good to go.

Oh and 3/4 windows open is fine for an i5. Unless they were all editing videos at the same time, then not even an i7 would be powerful enough.

    Yup I can't mulity quote,

So now we have established I can't spell, I can't punctuate, I can't multy quote. What I am not sure of is why they have been brought up on a section where people ask for tech help?.

Or have I stumbled into the Literacy section by mistake?

Anyway, yes once more & with feeling I mess the laptop up, sometimes people do click the wrong thing, do panic once they have seen they have clicked the wrong thing & turn the computer off when they should not.

I am totally sure I am not the only person in the world who has done something silly like this because they don't understand computers.

Still never mind hay you live & learn & repeat....repeat....repeat that mistake over & over again on a tech board on Moneysavingexpert!

So have we all finished now?.....

Would you like me to say in some other kind of way that I messed up?

Surely we have exhausted them all now?

Reading through this thread it seems that plenty technical people have tried to give you good advice which you appear to have either ignored or just don't want to hear and then you end up being rude to the people that are giving you advice, no wonder they have got fed up of trying to help you.

Why are you messing with a brand new laptop if you don't know what you are doing or know nothing about about computers, switch it on find your way around the operating system and use it, how long before the next one ends up broken.

Luckyone, forget about it. :) Nobody knows for certain that you caused the problem which meant that the Samsung recovery solution wouldn't work. It's still possible there was a problem with the recovery partition that had nothing to do with you. :)

As you have read through the thread you will have seen that I asked for advice, people gave it to me I asked questions. Up until Closed decided to try & show me up, which in fact he showed himself up I thanked every single person

I was not messing with a brand new laptop, if you have read through you will of found out that I was trying to make the recovery disks which you should do straight away.

Unfortunately I chose the wrong option panicked & turned it off, Obviously you still feel the need for me to say it once more with even more feeling because it's obviously not getting through.

    THANK YOU

So very much for your kindness. As you know I don't know enough to be sure but from what I have read it should of still sorted its self out from the partition.

But as the laptop was throwing up blue screens & would not let me log into my Virgin media account because my Java script was not turned on when it was, I was not happy accepting the computer & paying for someone to sort it out for me.

Yes it could of been a soft wear problem something I had downloaded had not agreed with something else, but I have been searching about the problem & it seems quiet common in windows 8. I have a horrible feeling it's going to be unstable like Vista was

I just thought I would let you know how I got on.

I am now the proud owner of a Acer laptop i5 core, backlit key's she came this afternoon.

I have done both the USB Pen recovery & DVD recovery as per the wonderful recovery program on Acers computers & there very helpful how to videos on their website & Youtube.

I have taken off the security it came with & now I have Avast, Paid for Malewearbytes & Windows Firewall.

No blue screens, loading every webpage correctly & does not make your ears bleed when playing music like the Samsung one did lol.

I have found a click & collect Acer Warranty for three years for £33 so once I have some more penny's I will also be buying this as this laptop has the same hinges as my broken PB.

Thank You for all your help

Once again (fingers Crossed) Luckyone xxx
