Morning! It's the weekend (for us!) and the beasts are up already

I need to mow the green stuff this morning... We also have not much fridge stuff, maybe a visit to greengrocer is in order - will do meal plan first. Need to drop swimming letter in to get DS moved up a group and request a later time - 3.45 cutting it a bit fine when he starts school. So we may have a swim too...

Feels like a lot to be done today to catch up. Here's to a productive Thursday!

Grass cut. Looks lots better than a month ago. Mr T visited. DD sent to her room 3 times :( although we're going to have a nap now so she's snuggled in, patting me on the chest saying "can I have a look at your booms?" Lol.

DW emptied, reloaded and on again. Shopping put away. Kids fed.

    Nap time!

Went over to the chalet to pick up the laundry - guests still in situ.

    Ooooooops.

Mrs Dog has seen the sea. She decided that paddling was cool, drinking sea water was a swizz and enjoyed visiting the beach (I think).
    Better is good enough.

So tomorrow, my baby girl will be the same age that DS was when DH died. If that makes sense. When I look at her, I can't see how on earth I could explain what I did, to a child so young. I can't remember if he was as vocal as her, if he seemed more grown up or not. I don't know how to talk to her about it :( That's why I feel off today, I think. That and the birthday thing. DS asked what cake I'm having.
    Somebody shake me!
*gives Bossy a very gentle shake* Hey, you did what you had to, explaining to DS, because there wasn't a choice. It's amazing what we can do when the situation is that there's no alternative.

Totally different situation, but I once rugby-tackled a running dog, because if I hadn't, he'd have gone onto the main road within the next second or so and would almost certainly have been killed. If anyone had asked me if I could do a rugby tackle, I'd have laughed my socks off! But the point is, I did something I "couldn't" do because it was an emergency, adrenalin kicked in, and the dog lived to tell the [STRIKE]tail[/STRIKE] tale.:o

Have a (((HUG))) Bossy, just before I nip out on the buggy to post a letter - Ted's staying home, as he'll go totally apeshytte if he sees another dog, but I'll put a few treats in his K0ng, and I'll only be gone quarter of an hour or so.:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
