Having difficulty putting someone on 'Ignore'

I wish there was a way of putting someone on "DNR" so that I could read their posts but the system would not allow me to reply! A blast from the past has just reappeared, and I can feel my blood pressure rising already :rolleyes: :rotfl: .

Lol, just the thought of it makes my blood boil, imagine the frustration. a simple solution to "DNR", is to get yourself a "PPR" status. :rotfl: :rotfl:

When I was at work, any circulars that came into the department were headed PPR... meaning "please pass round". It took me ages to find out what it meant on here!

I don't fancy that, there are only about .00000001% of the posters on here who I would not wish to communicate with .

lol, yep PPR means the same thing at my work. Imagine the Irony if it meant the same as it does on MSE .

Can't believe it - I've just managed to add someone to my Ignore list whose member name begins with a capital letter, so it seems the capitalization issue has been fixed at long last. :j Here's hoping it continues to work properly.

It would help though if the Buddy/Ignore Lists info in the Miscellaneous section of the Control Panel had headings to say which list was which - it just says "Add New User to List", but doesn't say which list is which. Below is a screenshot (edited for confidentiality) so you can see what I mean. Headings above each dialogue box would be useful.

Yep Capital Issue is fixed, excellent news. I wish they would add "ignore" and/or "buddy" icons to each post in a thread, to make it easier to add a buddy or ignore a user.

I now have a mini Buddies list, of which I am mightily proud . However I have not yet worked out how to PM them all at the same time, without having to type in their individual user names.

If sra is around any time and has five mins, I'd be grateful for another bit of advice on this. Cheers.

I agree, but at least you can add someone to your buddy list by clicking on their member name at the side of the post. Unfortunately, this option isn't available for Ignore - I don't know why, I've never seen it there.
