    Have a huge hug beanie.

What you MUST do is ration the chocolates otherwise they'll all be gone before the university term starts. I know, I know, easier said than done.:(

I suppose it's too late to leave out the morning crackerbreads? You've had a lovely breakfast but maybe it was very early.

Even if the soup was a HEX you've already had yours (only 1 allowed on EE) so you need to syn the soup anyway.

17.5 isn't the end of the world if you go easy tomorrow but it would be better to cut back a bit today if you can?

Yes the breakfast was just after 5am. I have had the crackerbreads now yes. Just been out to get some Bernard Matthews turkey to have this afternoon with sugarsnaps and cottage cheese so can drop 3 syns leaving me at 15.5. Higher than I'd like but not much I can do about it now. Thanks xx

The soup - I wouldn't normally buy soup but it was 30p reduced - can't say no even if I do have to syn it, haha!

Edit - just realised I was looking forward to my mint Viscount (4 syns) - can't have that now because of the stupid crackerbreads! I know what I'd have preferred!

    Morning all,

Wow, lots of posts I want to reply to - will try and remember them all!

Frogga - really pleased to hear how chipper you sound - the bit of choc every night thing works for me, have been doing it since the beginning and sounds like it is working for you too :)

    Welcome tyadog :hello:

Catt - 1.5lb is great, just think how much you'll lose if you keep that rate up! Like Maman, I've just worked out my average and it's 1.27lb a week, which doesn't sound much but it has added up to 6.5 stone so I'm quite happy with that! Haven't tried any AGCJ recipes yet although have been reading her blog for a while and have bought some fish paste in readiness - meant to use it while OH was away but ever got round to it. Must buy some brie and try some of the recipes.

    Good luck for WI Magic

Pennylane and others re. other people eating high cal stuff - I was talking to someone about this a few days ago. Yes, there are some people who can eat all the rubbish they want and not gain an ounce, but I think in most cases the people who you see eating that stuff are slim because it's a one off for them, not something they do all the time, and maybe because they have a big lunch they will have a small tea or naturally make up for it in some other way rather than think 'sod it' (because there is no diet to break) and carry on. I think we tend to judge people by our own standards and think that other people have a dieting mindset but they rarely do, and this sort of thing is just 'normal', much like Maman and others' method of maintenance - go and have whatever you want one day but eat healthily the rest of the time.

Maman - I used to be one of the WI night chippy customers, not because I thought I could make up for it in the week (I never counted it or reduced my syns during the week) but just because I'd been weighed and it wouldn't make a difference on the scales the next week, plus looking forward to it kept me going during the week. Whilst it never did seem to affect my losses, I wasn't happy with the fact that it was getting towards bingeing just because 'it was allowed', so I made Monday one of my fast days and it has broken that habit, which I feel is healthier both physically and mentally :)

You can get back on the wagon Beanie, although it's understandable why you've turned to the chocolate. Could you give it to someone to look after and allow yourself a bit each day?

Sounds like everyone had a good BH. We've spent most evenings and pretty much all weekend digging up the garden ready to seed a new lawn- it is damn hard work! OH was out yesterday so I did an hour of the garden, then went to pick up my bike from having its service, rode home (took a little detour as weather was so nice, lovely 7 mile pootle) then got out in the garden again. 5 hours later and it was finished, but it was boiling, my back was killing me and my hands look like those of a navvy! Still, all body magic! Only lost 0.5lb this week (it was flickering but went up, bah!) but did get SOTM and leader has asked me to enter the district WOTY comp, so I am  as I hate speaking in front of people but will be an experience. I have no chance of winning as I don't have a good X-factor style sob story but it'll be a nice few hours out :rotfl:

Right, I've rambled enough - good luck to anyone with WI today and have a good day all :D

Anyone else tried a Girl called Jack's recipe's? Got the tomato, brie & courgette gratin in the oven right now - 26p per portion, though I used a whole courgette rather than the half in the recipe. I'm counting the brie as a HEa though technically you can't. I rarely eat cheese, so don't mind a little cheat once in a while.
We had the brie & bacon risotto the other night which was lovely and also 26p per portion - and I still have a chunk of brie left over for another recipe.

I've done both those recipes and enjoyed them. I also used the brie as HEA because, like you, I don't have cheese often.

I think she's got some really good recipes on there. The one I really like and have done a few times on a Green day is the Posh Mushroom Chasseur. It's really nice.

    Having a Green today:

B - Was out early so missed breakfast - I know it's naughty but didn't have time.
    S - Banana
L - Beans on toast (HEB) (not butter)
    S - Strawberries
D - Shepherds pie (the mince isn't real mince but a combination of brown rice, green lentils & onions - I'm going to add an HEB of beef mince to it plus a beef stock cube for added flavour). Not tried this before but worth a go as it means I get a bit more to eat than just having an HEB of mince & onions with potatoes on top.

Only syns today will probably be an ice lolly later (3.5) as need to cut back for a couple of days before WI on Thursday morning as went over at the weekend.

Really want a lb loss this week as that will take me back to top end of target and I can go on holiday without having to book or pay!

I've been plodding along in the background and haven't posted in a little while nor have I been keeping in touch. I did start keeping track of my food on my fitness pal but on days when I had too many syns, I kind of lost interest in posting ....

I [feel] I've tried hard this week although I'm not sure I'm going to see [what I want to see] on the scales. :-/ In fact as much as I've been looking forward to weighing in, I'm also very nervous !

I'd be interested to know if any of you have any food/weight/diet/health apps on your phone as I've recently joined the smartphone age and can now shop in the app store !

I hope all are keeping well :)

Advance apologies for on train typos

Thanks a million Frogga and course you can :-) ill attend tonight miss next week so will start that w/c 9th and will be well focused for the six weeks so we can support each other

This applies to anyone else too who fancies giving it a crack

    The more the merrier

Inazuma I agree with you re the motivation bit

I too would need something more tangible visible etc in other words stories from people that we all feel we know with good days bad days ideas etch

Appreciate you are working on it but if we do a gang thing in little blocks like 6 week countdown ( though does not mean people need to buy them) then if we start week of 7/9 back at school etc it basically takes us to mid October and well in way to good loss for Christmas

Yep, good idea. I'll join you if I may.
