you can buy Chinese imported tablets from eBay for less than £50, they can do everything you have outlined above, however they are locked. if you want a quality product which will last years then research on devices running 4.2 Jelly Bean (Android) and IOS (apple). There are many apps and support available online for devices running both operating systems. If your budget is £130 then Amazon Kindle Fire or Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7 inch) is a good choice, but consider the opinion of others before taking a decision.

    Seriously...you need to stop.

I think Ozzy meant "Don't buy a playbook just because they're cheap", but he is coming across as a spammer

To the OP - listen to Sillygoose, he's talking a lot of sense.

Regarding putting music and DVDs onto a tablet - it can be quite time consuming and annoying. Music is easy enough (Use iTunes on a PC, 'rip' the tracks as mp3 then pop them onto a memory card) but DVDs can be quite a hassle.

You need to remember that tablets don't have a lot of storage space. Even with a 32gb microSD card added, you wouldn't be storing a large DVD library or music collection.

Irrelevent really, poster wants to spend £100, there are no £100 Apple products so it has to be Android, no 'select' about it.

Actually a budget is never a fix value, if you read madlyn previous post you will come to realise that her new budget is £130. As madlyn is looking to buy a quality and durable tablet, I am sure the budget will increase. There are no apple tablets for less than £260 in the market that’s why I also suggested android.

Again both Apple and Samsung devices are over well £100 (although the poster is considering the stretch in budget to a Samsung Note)

-madlyn explained previous her husband is not very tech-savvy. By owning an acknowledged tablet he can get technical support using online forums promptly.

-My local Tesco are selling the Samsung tab 2 (7 inch) for £130, therefore within her new budget or Kindle fire.

-I gave her two good choices to consider, I never held a gun to her head and asked her to pick between the two.

Nope, pretty much the same hardware and software as branded tablets.

Disagree, the hardware selection is not the same as the branded tablets. The hardware organisation is ‘good enough’ to host a plain android system. If the cheaper tablets host same hardware, then it will cost similar prices to the branded tablets.

?? Cheaper tablets have an interface of plain Android, its the branded ones that usually feel the need to put their own interfaces on. I prefer pure Android! I own many Navigation systems, none of them look anything like Android interface to me.

The branded tablets intent to use software and hardware acceleration to enable better and fluid interaction. The cheaper plain Android tablet for example the YeahPad intends to have a jittery user-interaction similar to a navigation system. Secondly plain Android tablets are locked i.e. users cannot download apps from the Google-market app store.

I know you want to buy a decent tablet and that's why I sugest a few decent tablets on the market. There are others who are suggesting your approach the Chinese imported market.

You are not adding anything to the discussion other than confusion. Both the Samsung and the Kindle Fire were suggested before you(post #7 & post #28) posted your 'suggestions' in post #31 and here you are appearing to claim the credit.
Your irrelevant post on iOS set the standard for the rest of your posts on this thread and others.
You are obviously irritating quite a few people in a relatively short time.
So perhaps sit back, take note of what has already been written and only post if you have something relevant to add.
