  • Good to see you popping in again

Oh I pop in every day!!! just still don't seem to find time to sit down and sew so I just admire what you are all doing and my world of cross stitch magazines pile continues to grow as do my plans of what I would like to create!!
  • Hope everything is ok

Thank you, he has turned up safe and sound :D. He had 'forgotten' that I was going to ring him to see if he wanted a lift to his appointment and had gone out extra early so he could take some photographs on the way to his appointment!
  • I'm still reading every day but have no stitching to post about at the moment asI;m still waiting on threads being delivered. Was hoping to get some today but no joy :(

I was really enjoying my stitching so hope I don't lose my stitching mojo before the threads arrive .

The information on washing is really useful. I hope, someday (soon), to have a piece laege enough to be worth washing lol.

Keep posting the pics everyone. I love popping in each day to see and read about your progress.

Morning all - long time since I visited here so tea and choccy cake all round!! Can anyone help me please - I seem to remember that not too long ago one of the mags featured a lovely Christmas/snow design that was just white thread on pale blue (May have been a historical sampler company design) but I can't find it. Does anyone know which mag or if they have a copy at all.

Have a look on themakingspot.com for a design called Let it Snow which is the one I was thinking you might be looking for. Don't know if you read in previous posts the site closes soon Design was in Cross Stitcher 257 October 2012. Hope this what you are looking for
  • Just popping to say hi. Long shot question. Does anyone have the 'Secret Santa' materials pack that is made up by Leisurecraft based in Tewkesbury? Have gone back to sew some more and discovered the list that tells me which metallic threads to use is missing!
So I have sent an email and await a reply. Am being impatient really by asking on here, but it is sooo frustrating.
Seems like a lot of us have more than one thing on the go as we fast approach that 'certain time of year'. Promise I won't panic this year. HaHa.

  • Not been on for a while but i'm making slow and steady progress on the pirate ship. I've just bought a couple of kits off ebay - Dimensions holiday village and aurora cabin. I think they will take ages to do but will be so worth it when they are done.

Louise would you mind telling me please where the "love you to the moon and back" pattern is from please or is it a kit?? its one of my two little girls favorite sayings!!

It's by Joan Elliot - I bought her 'Cross stitch greetings cards' book on Amazon

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/0715332899/ref=oh_details_o06_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Just saw the price - I never paid that, I bought a used one for half the amount.
i loved that piece as well, i assumed it was something louise had designed herself

I wish! But I'm very touched that you thought that :o:j:D
Nooooooo, you can't tell me you wouldn't have stitched the white either now I am halfway through! Maybe next time I do a similar project I will ask you Ladies first :D

I too would love to know where the love you to the moon and back char came from as it is lovely

    Oops.... :o:rotfl:

Ohhh....I saw the Aurora Cabin when I went to a show last year, it's gorgeous!. I was really tempted but had enough big projects on the go so stopped myself from buying it (a rare occurrence:o) Look forward to seeing how you get on with it.

  • Thanks for the info and link to the book Louise, I am going to keep my eye out for it :D

Still plodding on with my white cross stitch, I sat and did all the infilling of the Christmas deccies so I can just do the large covering today and tomorrow and the day after...........................

I am hoping my order comes in from cross stitch heaven soon so that I can put this to one side and start the Christmas stocking for my Dad :rotfl:
  • Hi,

Just browsing the happy cross stitch web site, not buying I said, just looking and before I knew it I had bought another kit to go on the ever growing pile to do!!!!!
I had bin looking for this kit for ages,Arabian woman, first saw it done in a fab craft shop in bakewell,Derbyshire, but resisted as it was expensive, over 45 pounds, but still hankered after it.
This is a smaller version, not nearly that price, next thing it was in basket
Not looking at any more sites till 2015 at least!!!!!
