Just popping to say hi. Long shot question. Does anyone have the 'Secret Santa' materials pack that is made up by Leisurecraft based in Tewkesbury? Have gone back to sew some more and discovered the list that tells me which metallic threads to use is missing!
So I have sent an email and await a reply. Am being impatient really by asking on here, but it is sooo frustrating.
Seems like a lot of us have more than one thing on the go as we fast approach that 'certain time of year'. Promise I won't panic this year. HaHa.
BTW the Leisurecraft site sells DMC on bobbins for 38p though I can't say how good their delivery times are0 -

I'm a long time lurker with a lot of admiration for the all the projects you ladies get completed. I'm working on a large project since November last year - it's this one of New York

and I have loads of threads that are in plastic bags at the moment. I'd really like one of those plastic boxes with the bobbin thingys to put my threads onto as the rest of my life is so organised and neat. Where's the best place to get one? Do I write the thread numbers on the bobbins or can you get pre-printed ones? Please help, I keep wasting loads of time searching for threads
Hi skint-chick, I too have lots of threads and bout two large organiser boxes from Home Bargains for £2 each and they work just as well as the DMC boxes I have.0 -
Off Topic - you may recall I took in a stray cat who then had 6 kittens
All growing up quickly, and having a great time as farm cats
I love ginger and white cats, I would have loved one when we got ours but they are so hard to find. I have a tabby and a blue, both moggies but our blue does look like he is pedigree.0 -
I managed to get the Jolly Nations caravan couple kit from Ebay, it cost me £6 for everything, threads, Aida, needle etc so I am really pleased :j
I am still waiting for the threads and Aida from cross stitch heaven but nothing as yet so guess I had better carry on with the white background on the advent calendar. I sat stitching until about 12.30 last night, DH had gone to bed as he is at work today but DD's had gone to see Paramore at Wembley and their Dad had taken them and was picking them up so even though they are 17 & 18 I couldn't go to bed until I knew they were safely home
I ordered the MP book from Amazon of Thursday and will be bidding on the magazine with the Christmas design in later. Can't wait for that and the Joan Elliott book to arrive......might need to increase my stash!0 -
nmm - BD is looking great.
Mags_cat - That is an impressively well organsied stash:D
JCS - The historical sampler is lovely:T So are the kitties, so may colours from one litter!
afm. I have finally finished the anniversarygift for my OH....totally missed the anniversary:o but am so glad it is finished.

What a stunning and unusual design. Progress pics would be great
I agree with the other posts that having your threads organised is a great time saver Plastic bags are ok if you sort the threads and label the bags numerically Personally I don't like winding threads onto bobbins but you can buy them ready wound0 -

There is a lot of work in both but will look wonderful when finished and framed0 -
I've been collecting DMC threads for years, usually when I go on holiday to Florida where they are much cheaper. I love winding them onto the bobbins - I've got one of those bobbin winder thingies and I buy those plastic stickers with the numbers printed on them.
Here's my stash:
