  • Morning all
    Lovely update lottie.
I have finished all apart from the personalised stitching on one hundred years but I want to stitch it again now as another member of teaching staff has a milestone birthday coming up soon and I enjoyed doing it so much.
The weekend has been spent mostly knitting as I have a couple of friends who have or are expecting now babies that need knitting for. As well as the new expected grandchild. Cold seems to have settled on my chest now as I feel very gluey now rather than sneezy.
Hope all are well and guag is returning where it had gone awol.

  • My cousin asked me to do the Mr Men and Little Miss calendar for her once, as she wasn't very confident about her stitching.

I wouldn't do it for everyone however and have recently turned down an offered commission.

I love stitching things for people as gifts I've chosen, but if I started doing commissions I'd never have anytime for the things I want to do!

I've suffered with flu this week, but I did manage a little bit of stitching so that's been good. I couldn't make my monthly craft morning, so opted to have an individual craft morning at home anyway!

No stitching for me this week, but I have finished my OH's knee blanket, proper name is a lapghan :rotfl: Right I'm trying to decide what stitch to make for my sisters 40th this year, I've narrowed it down to these 2, leaning more towards the candles. Which do you guys prefer or do you have any alternatives to temp me :D

  • I like them both, personally I prefer the young at heart but you know your sister. They are both great and would be equally well recieved I'm sure.

    Hello everyone,

I got back on Sunday from a week's skiing in Chamonix. Had a great time and no time for stitching as too busy enjoying the après ski :) Managed to put on 5lb too despite all that exercise ooooops!

Some great pics - especially love the little lambs - how sweet! Loving all the random words being stitched - makes me chuckle a lot.

I'm hoping to pick up my stitching in the next few days - want to get NY finished then onto Sydney :) Unfortunately I have an ironing pile as tall as Mont Blanc so that's tonight's calling boooo!

    Take care everyone

  • Glad you had such a lovely time coxy. Welcome back.
I've been sewing up and sewing buttons on today so now have a little bag of baby bits to take into work tomorrow for a friend there. Have a little pair of bootees that DD3 needs to collect for a friend of hers, want to get back onto stitching the next 100 years again now, so far all I've done on that is "One" and "not matter"

    Hello

Sorry I haven't been about for a while been busy with work and play. Had a surprise 40th birthday party - my brother - and had to make nearly 100 cupcakes (decorated) and a birthday cake on the orders of my bossy sister.

Still plodding on with the learning sampler. Need to get to Ik€a and get some frames. Going to be exhibiting some of my stitches in a exhibition with the Embroiders Guild - so need get them framed up.

    Hope all are well.

Coming along very nicely lottie :T

I like them both nmm but am maybe swayed slightly towards Young at Heart.

Sounds as though you have had a fab time Coxy. Good luck with that ironing pile ;)

Hope the poorlies, Mrs. MP and kezbabybabe, are feeling better soon.

You are a saint sweetcarer making all those cupcakes and birthday cake. Looking forward to seeing your framed pieces.

Have completed the stitching of Lizzie Kate Thank God today. Will need to look out for a frame now and hoping I can find a standard size frame rather than have to go down the custom route. Want something very plain, darkish wood - quite traditional really. Will measure it up and look around when I am out and about.

Will stitch the LK Thank God for myself I think later in the year.

Next project might be a card kit I purchased for a friends birthday (not til May) but this is my attempt at getting organised. :D
