We live in a small town so it was always going to be a bit of a gamble :rotfl:
I bought two frames from the £shop but when I got them home I decided I didn't like them, so back to the drawing board there.
I tried Wilkes for two larger frames for my angels and found perfect frames but there were just a but too small so not so perfect after all lol.
My last option was a photography shop but at £25 for just one frame I thought I would leave it!
I've now decided OH can get them framed for me, professionally for my birthday in June :T just have to find a good framers now.
Beautiful pieces and I agree with mrsmp - after putting in all that work they deserve professional framing. My advice would be to ask how they prepare needlework for framing - it should be laced not glued0 -
 I've got a couple of photos for you all, I hope everyone is well

Mmmm - what is the project your working on? Looks very intriguing! Sorry I'm not up to date with everything. I did trying reading back but got a bit lost so gave up as a bad job lol.
Well I've finished "winter angel" and feeling ridiculously proud of myself lol:o OH is going to get both angels framed for my birthday in June, so am very excited (doesn't take much).
I'm going to carry on with "the king above" so I can get that finished and might just sneak it in with my angels to be framed (hopefully OH won't notice ha).
Really got Mt eye on the l&l designs of the celtic ladieshttps://uk.pinterest.com/redthunder2/celtic-ladys-cross-stitch/ but when I priced the materials up at sew&sew it came in around £60  so might have to wait until next birthday lol.
Hope everyone wellSt. Francis said: “A man who uses his hands is a laborer. One who uses his hands and mind is a craftsman. He who uses his hands, and his mind, and his heart is an artist.”0 -
hi lancs-lady, well done on finishing the winter angel, I too get excited about framing the piece, it means its totally finished and you can just admire your hard work. Not sure what materials are needed for your celtic ladies, if you let us know we can try and source the stuff cheaper for you, I know BD was almost £50 for the kit but I got it all seperately and it cost about half that.

Oops bad forum etiquette replying to myself :rotfl: but a question for all those who have made cross stitch into cushions, how did you do it? What do you use? iron on backing etc. I don't have a sewing machine and my hand stitching is awful but i'll give it a go
Thinking of turning RF into a cushion or perhaps a canvas instead of framing it, any help appreciated, thanks

I cheat and use a 'tuck pillow'! I think I've bought them from ebay and they're ready made-you literally just tuck your stitching in place. No sewing required. :T
No idea how large they make them, though. Mine have all been fairly small. Maybe 8-10" Max.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

I can't really help with the cushion advice as I've got a sewing machine so made a mitred cover that I set my stitching into when I did the tiger cub one, not meaning to show off by saying that in my life BC (before children) I was a fully trained sewing machinist so it's just what I was taught.
Those tuck pillows sound brilliant, and def the way to go if you aren't a sewer.
Tried to post a phot in the thread but failed, I have managed to put one on our Flickr page of the first one hundred years I did, it still needs personalising and framing.SPC~12 ot 124
