Well I've finished "winter angel" and feeling ridiculously proud of myself lol:o OH is going to get both angels framed for my birthday in June, so am very excited (doesn't take much).
I'm going to carry on with "the king above" so I can get that finished and might just sneak it in with my angels to be framed (hopefully OH won't notice ha).
Really got Mt eye on the l&l designs of the celtic ladieshttps://uk.pinterest.com/redthunder2/celtic-ladys-cross-stitch/ but when I priced the materials up at sew&sew it came in around £60  so might have to wait until next birthday lol.
Hope everyone well
The Celtic Ladies are stunning designs and really enjoyable to stitch. Because the patterns have been around a long time they are often available on ebay and most of the stitching is in standard DMC so there are cheaper routes than sew&sew. I think Celtic Noel is probably the most expensive to kit up as it has more beads and metallics than the others.0 -
Hi mum your cheetah is great. Can't wait to see updates it's going to be stunning.
I've had a good look around and can't find the celtic ladies charts on ebay or secondhand, but if anyone has any and is happy to sell, please let me know.
I haven't come away empty handed thought I've been a bit naughty and bought a couple more kits. Not sure how it happened, they just sort of jumped into my basket on ebay, so of course I had to buy them :rotfl:
Carrying on with my rose picture, I'm just about to start another page, so will post some pics when I've done that page.
Hope everyone well and got some stitching in at the weekendSt. Francis said: “A man who uses his hands is a laborer. One who uses his hands and mind is a craftsman. He who uses his hands, and his mind, and his heart is an artist.”0 -
Hi everyone,
nmm - great progress on the leopard and your Mother's Day card is lovely.
I finished Pretty Little NY on Thursday. Not sure what I want to stitch next, need to get my list out and have a looksie. I like the Lizzie Kate 'Prayer Connection' design and could just see that on the wall in the Church office where I work as an administrator. Just hope it wouldn't cause anyone any offence, especially to the old biddies!
Anyway, will post a pic shortly. Off to chub club tonight. Not been a good week as our consultant is leaving and has stopped all support, bit of a joke really.
Have a good evening all.

Yep one of the dangers of browsing auction sites...................
I just did a search for Lavender&Lace in cross stitch and there were some listed so don't give up0 -

This looks fabulous.
I don't see anything offensive in the LK design and have seen many such posters on church noticeboards0 -

It's coming on beautifully,I really enjoy doing cats,I still haven't found a frame for my leopard, can't decide on any I've seen!

Hello everyone.
I have a problem with three of my small rose squares. The blue soluable pen that I've been using to mark the square won't wash out! It's currently just left a yellow/brown grid on the material. It's been through the washing machine about 3 times. They are currently sat soaking in cold water hoping that it comes out.
Does anyone have any ideas that I could try? I really really don't want to spend more time stitching the squares again.
Worryingly these must've been the last three squares I stitched as one of them was finished a few weeks ago.0 -
kezbabybabe, Louise had this issue before too, I think she used some sort of stain remover, i'll see if I can find the old post.
Mrs Ceejay, shame you haven't framed your leopard yet, I've been looking at different ways to finish them lately. What about a wall hanging? or a pillow?Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0
