  • Probably told you before We used to foster the kayed lambs when I was a child. I used to love helping with the bottle feeding and having them playing in the garden with us. They are such lovely creatures. Thank you for sharing the photo

No bottle feeding yet this year, but it will happen at some point (usually sheep with little milk will have triplets!)
  • Morning all
Just had to unpick the 'cl' in clothes as I'd done the l one square too short and hadn't noticed till I started on the row above.
Suns out today but slippy under foot with ice so be careful if you venture out.

Have you noticed Masie all the letter Ks are slightly different I can't work out why as all the other letters are the same. I was doing the K in looked and got it wrong then realised i was looking at the k I'd already stitched in the same row but another word. Ther is another one in the top row and that's dufferent again! But looking at the finished photo they all seem the same on that. I've ended up doing mine so they are the same otherwise I think it will irritate me.
Today I've managed I. Clothes looked, and because I was important.

    Hope all are well

I noticed that after I'd stitched it - so I left it and thought of it as a quirk!

Note to self : DO NOT take mother into cross stitch shops.

I now have a child's height chart to stitch (TWICE!) for cousins' new children. Mum loved the design and bought it for me to stitch so that she can give to my cousins for their children. (Keeping up? I'm confused...). It's a pile of animals standing on top of each other - cow, donkey, dog, cat, chicken as I recall but it's big blocks of colour and not too tricky. So far I have the bottom half of the cow done.

I suppose I should think of it / them as a welcome break from the monochrome monstrosity - of which I have now finished page 10. Only another 25 to go.

Mags cat, you can always rely on mothers to keep you busy. They do sound lovely and cheery and it seems as if they are stitching up reasonably quick with nice big blocks of colour

I'm now trying to decide if I need to stitch this on smaller Adia, I didn't do it on evenweave or linen as I thought I'd struggle with the counting but now I've completed a few complete rows I'm wondering if it's too big! It's just over 18 inches across from side to side. I'll finish this one as decide. I may need to go shopping.
So far today "cl" "I had in my bank" "a better place" and "in the life of a child" have been stitched.

oh dear mags_cat, the person that loved my BD said she saw loads of projects she'd love me to stitch for her. Sometimes its better people don't know how good our stitching is :rotfl: The height chart sounds fun, but I would hate doing it twice, hopefully they come together quickly for you :)

JCS1, the lambs both real and stitched are lovely :)

No stitching for me today :(. I had noticed on my LK that some of the letters are different and like Mags I am classing it as a touch of quirkiness :p :rotfl::rotfl:
