I love this - are they the designs that were in one of the XS magazines?
    Well done on finishing

Thanks fos. Yes, I got the charts from one of the magazines (rescued these when I had a big cull). Here is a linky to the charts. Hope it works.

Last year Ailsb was kind enough to send me the chart for Henry VIII and his six wives. She asked that when I was finished with it that I pass it on in memory of her mum.

I am very conscious that I have had the chart for some time. I started stitching it, and was getting in well with it, but I was worried that I had miscalculated the size of fabric I needed so gave up intending to restart it.

Since then I have put my house up for sale and, just recently, moved into a new house and have had very little stitching time (although I still lurk on here to admire all your work). As I was so conscious if the amount of time I've had the chart I decided to order the kit, which I have done today, and pass the chart on as Ailsb requested.

Is there anyone on here who would like the chart? It is beautiful. Lovely vibrant colours. It is this one http://www.sewandso.co.uk/Products/Henry-VIII-Sampler-Cross-Stitch-Kit__DMC-K3403.aspx

Fab gesture. Hope someone in the Cafe takes you up on the offer. Looking forward to seeing your updates Ali ;). Talking of Ailsb - I often wonder what you are up to these days - so if you are lurking - pop in sometime and let us know what you have been up to. :D

  • I have made a start on the LK project - threads sorted, fabric cut and a little bit of stitching has been done. Enjoying it so far :D

I would at some point love to do the Henrys wives stitch but have so many other things on the go I will ask if I can go further down the request list at some point in the future, I've finished knitting squares for the baby blanket and now need to knit the edging band but I need to make a start sorting out my threads for in 100 years so I can get that started. I think I'm goin to do it in the. School tie colours to give it the right theme if that makes sense.

  • Mrs Ceejay, I love the giraffe looks fab :)

I haven't done so well with stiching this weeknd, so I'm not going to upload a piccy this week as it's more of a spot the difference than an ooo look at that!! Hopefully i'll make more progress over this coming week.
  • I've not done much stitching either with needing to get the knitting finished but main excuse for not posting update is puters been broke for a couple of weeks and I havent a clue how to do photos on Ipad
