Looks gorgeous pm and what a good job you have done on framing. I think the mount looks fine - what colour were you thinking of? We have bought custom mounts from a local framer in that past as a lot of the ready done ones don't have a great selection of colours. DH has even had a go at buying mountboard and making them (can you remember Sleeping Beauty which was huge) but he always complains that it doesn't look right as they dont have a chamfered (sp?) edge - what I am trying to say is cut at an angle but I think they look fine. I think it is the perfectionist coming out in him.
Cross stitch on Keep Calm cushion is complete :j, fabric for cover has been purchased so all I need is some iron interfacing for back of stitching and a cushion pad. :j
Might start a little kit/card while sorting stuff out for LK project.
Hope you all manage some stitchy time over the weekend. Just what is needed when this weather is so yuk.

I thought maybe a rust red type of colour...but then it maybe too much, this is it on the wall (excuse the reflections)image by pm2326, on Flickr

How about a double mount with light colour and then a rusty reddish pink (similar to design) for the inside and this might 'frame' the design without being overpowering.

pm2326 - I really like the simplicity of the frame, it look fab on your wall.
Update on bluebells, I feel like I haven't made a dent this weekend but I think it's just because i've mainly been filling in rather than adding to the size. Still if I can get the first quarter finished in about 10 days that's routhly a month per quarter. So should be compete well before deadline!!
Coxy - Yours is coming along well, the colours are really nice and bright.0 -

Thanks mrs m. Well I have received the LK chart yesterday from DS together with Am@zon voucher so I might have a little lookie on Sew and So (Am@zon) sometime. Had email from Willow to say fabric is on the way so when it arrives I will start to have a look to see what threads I need to tone in with colour of fabric. Ordered a birthday card from Eb@y the other night for a friends birthday later in the year - it was a Derwentwater Design Poppy (love poppies).
Bought interfacing this morning from town to use to cover the back of stitching of Keep Calm cushion - see how things go and I might make a bit of progress with that later.
Take care everyone,

coxy Hope you are feeling better. Lovely update. I see you are reading Longbourne - I really enjoyed it and I believe they are making a film version
beg Pleased that you found something suitable at Willow Fabrics - I thought the sale prices were really good. Looking forward to seeing the completed cushion
lottie Lovely progress on bluebells
PM Your piece looks very effective against the wall and doesn't need a coloured mount. If you did anything I would agree with beg's suggestion of an inner coloured mount only0 -

Willow order arrived and it looks fab. So pleased with it and thanks again for pointing me in the right direction.
Nothing has happened on the cushion today as I have been busy with other things but it is coming together now.
