Thanks for the advice re the floor frame, but I just couldn't get on with it, it was more the rotating to get to the back that was driving me mad, so I'm going to sell it. Shelly pm'd me with some great info on the posilock frame so i'll look into getting one of those :)

What a week I had last week, I totally forgot to post a leopard update photo, so below is 2 weeks worth.

  • Evening everyone

    Hope you are all well.

Only bits of stitching time here over the last few days. Have been having a bit of a search online for a cross stitch card/chart that would be suitable to stitch for priest celebrating his golden jubilee. So far I have drawn a blank but came across this Lizzie Kate Design which I quite like but would be too large for card but if I made it into picture it would act as a gift too. I would have to convert the threads to dmc as the threads used are quite pricey and I would have a look to see what fabric I could use. Any advice would be much appreciated. Not needed until the summer so got plenty of time to have a think. :D

With any luck you will all find some stitchy time over the weekend.

Hope everything is ok with you sweetcarer - you have been so quiet. x

I think that is an inspired choice of chart. In my experience it is very easy to stitch Lizzie Kate designs in whatever threads you have to hand as she tends to use blocks of a single colour rather than several shades of a colour IYSWIM. So I wouldn't even worry too much about having the exact DMC conversion suggested.

Willow Fabrics have a few fabrics on sale at the moment including 28 count Jazlyn in mushroom which might be suitable if you are thinking of buying

    It looks better on paper

It's one of three my dad bought for me, have already done golden reflections which took me 9 months so there is no hurry with this one :rotfl:

Wow that's a stunning design - looking forward to seeing your progress

Thank you so much fos. The Jazlyn mushroom is sitting in my basket along with a chunk of Lugano calico 25ct (might come in useful for something one day and it looks fairly neutral. I can just adjust the colours of threads to suit the colour of fabric (mushroom). Both pieces are costing just less that one piece from Sew and So ;) I think if I order during Jan, I might get 15% off so I had better get a wriggle on. :rotfl:

The end is in sight for the xstitching bit of Keep Calm cushion so hopefully I may get a chance tomorrow to finish that off. Then I will have to look for a large cushion pad but that might have to wait until the weather improves.

I started a 5 for £5 for Cross Stitch Crazy starting with the March'15 issue which I thought must be out now as it is appearing on fleabay. I'm probably just a bit impatient. :D

    Take care everyone,

    Morning everyone,

lottie3000 - lovely update on Bluebells. I've had my eye on a bluebell kit for a while now - Bluebell Haven by DMC - it's on my never ending list!

nmm - lovely update on leopard

beg - I too have taken a 5 for £5 CSC sub. I received the March mag last week and there's quite a few designs I would like to stitch. Can you chase yours up?

Not much progress on NY these last few days - I've not been well - have been taking Lemsip max and going to bed early (745 last night) so hopefully over the worst of it now. Will post a pic in the next post.

    Have a good day all.

Will sort details later Coxy and chase up CSC - might even wait til postie has been today (doesn't come til after 3pm nowadays).

(ETA - whooooops (embarrassed face) it wasn't Crazy I ordered. I ordered Card Shop (prob missed Jan so next one is on sale beg Mar). It was humming and haaing over which to order and this has caused confusion. Slopes off to have another look at Willow Fabrics.

Loving your NY update. Hope you are feeling better today.

    Hi guys

Well here's my attempt at framing...was £5 from Wilko's but I'm not sure about the mount, think it should be coloured
