    Hi all

    Loving all the makes.

Beg I agree with the others I like your version on the cushion better than the original design.

Mrs Ceejay the giraffe is so cute I am sure it will be appreciated.

Coxy really loving the vibrant colours in NY

Sweetcarer the band is coming along great - have you much to go? I love seeing all the different stitches.

nmm the grasses in your stitch look so realistic can't wait to see it all finished

I have started my LK design and managed to get quite a bit done on Sunday. Will have another crack at it this evening as I am hoping to have it finished by the end of Feb so I can get it framed.

    Thanks Maisie.

I did a little bit of my LK last night - keeping fingers crossed that the colours work that I have chosen. I suppose if any of them look totally wrong when I get them out to stitch I can always swap. I've had them laid on the fabric and they look ok imo but we shall have to wait and see. :D

You haven't got too long if you are wanting your LK all done and dusted by the end of Feb. Mine is not need until June so plenty of time there but I want to have a good look around for a nice frame that is not too expensive and I will probably be using DH for the framing. :rotfl:

  • Finally got round to sorting some threads for the LK in 100 years, the school tie has 3colours 2 blues and a gold, I'm going to try and do it in just those three. Luckily I found them in my stash, need mine finished for June when the break up and head leaves. Going to have a lok through my fabric stash in a bit and see what I have suitable in there.

Last year Ailsb was kind enough to send me the chart for Henry VIII and his six wives. She asked that when I was finished with it that I pass it on in memory of her mum.

I am very conscious that I have had the chart for some time. I started stitching it, and was getting in well with it, but I was worried that I had miscalculated the size of fabric I needed so gave up intending to restart it.

Since then I have put my house up for sale and, just recently, moved into a new house and have had very little stitching time (although I still lurk on here to admire all your work). As I was so conscious if the amount of time I've had the chart I decided to order the kit, which I have done today, and pass the chart on as Ailsb requested.

Is there anyone on here who would like the chart? It is beautiful. Lovely vibrant colours. It is this one http://www.sewandso.co.uk/Products/Henry-VIII-Sampler-Cross-Stitch-Kit__DMC-K3403.aspx

I'd like the Henry chart but I won't be using it straight away so I could photocopy it and send it on
  • Hope all are well, I actually got some stitching done yesterday! I stitched the word "account"! Well it's a start

:rotfl::rotfl: Last night I managed 'Seek God' and had to change to another colour so I thought I would put it away. Might manage another line tonight ;)

    Hi everyone,

sweetcarer - your work is exquisite, you really are very talented and the book of stitches is such a brilliant idea - you should patent it (seriously) x

Mrs ceejay - I can see it, I can see it!!! Lovely finish, very cute, and I'm sure they will appreciate it.

Ayeshalush - thank you for the chart offer, I have so much else to stitch though! Hopefully it will go to a good home.

mrs-moneypenny/b-e-g - your posts made me lovvvvl!

I had hoped to finish NY by the time we go away (early Sunday) but haven't picked it up all week. Have had chub club, parents evening and youth club swimming night. I'm in tonight but my hair really needs colouring. What is it with those little grey hairs that are really obvious along your parting - they are always really wiggly too. Makes me so cross lol! Might try colouring it early then hopefully get some stitchy time in. Had an horrendous day at work today - printer not working right, photocopier on the blink. Always happens on the last day before holiday when you're in a pre-holiday panic grrr! Need to lose myself in my stitching for a few hours.

Anyway, sorry for the ramble. Have a good evening all.

  • Have a lovely time away coxy.
I've managed "but the worl" this afternoon, not a lot else got done. Sewing bee is on tonight and I love watching that but can't stitch and watch so tonight I will be knitting.

Doesn't look as though my stitching is going to happen tonight as I have just had a look on tv and there are a few things that I would like to watch too - Sewing Bee being one of them. I don't really do much 'proper stitching' but I really admire people who are talented.

great updates everyone, love the pics :)

I've not done much stitching over the past week or so been crocheting instead learning the In treble Afghan Square and making a start on the knee blanket for my OH, he's always joking about it :rotfl: I'm doing it in the basketweave stitch I posted about before. I do have a small update photo though. I've also had a couple of people round this week, I said do you like my Wolf (Beautiful Dreamer)? they both loved it and thought it was a painting till they looked closer, I think that's a great compliment :D I'm not sure if I can ever beat that picture.
