its celtic noel from the celtic ladies series by lavender and lace. ill post an update photo next week. FOS has already completed her and shes beautiful. she was on my wish list for years then DD1 bought me the chart but i wouldnt let myself start it till titanic was finished.

Hugs to you re missing your dad time doesnt heal it just dulls pain slightly for a while but things still sneak up and get you when you arent expecting it. be gentle with yourself

the first entry in my diary for this year was the quote
"Perhaps they are not stars but rather openings in heaven where the love of our lost ones pour through and shine down upon us to let us know they are Happy"

on a clear night under a star filled sky i often think of my dear father in law, one day i will stitch this

Your Celtic lady is beautiful, often looked at these and thought I will do one of them one day, still haven't so will look forward to seeing it.

Thank you for your kind words, was feeling quite down as my DD had gone back to OZ as well,so it will be along time till I see her again,so not a good day,but your words rang true so I have printed them off and put in my sewing box,so I can read them again. X

coxy - loving girl with cosmos it is so pretty.

Sweetcarer - the twisted band is exquisite and a beautiful dedication to your mum.

Well I have ordered two kits one of which is my husbands clan badge which I am hoping to stitch during my breaks at work and have ready for our anniversary in March and the other is the Lizzie Kate 100 years which I am hoping to have done by the middle of March as I need to have it framed for our deputy head who is retiring at the end of March. She will be much missed. This one at least I can do at home so I am hoping to spend a bit more time on that one.

In the meantime whilst I am waiting on the charts to come through I will finish a small elephant I started ages ago which will be for DH for Valentines day.

    Morning all,
Masie I'll do a sort of stitch along with you on the 100 years as I need to have it finished by June when the head I'm doing it for retires.
Getting on well with Celtic lady, had a near miss yesterday when I realised I'd miscounted the threads and done a small cluster of stitches away from the others off count and done them an extra thread away from where they should have been, luckily I managed to unpick them without too much hassle. It's taught me to change colour rather than moving area on even weave just in case I do it again!

Have a good day all, it's the last of the holiday here. Foggy and icy out so I recommend staying in with your stitching if possible.

  • Lovely colours pm and you are stitching really quickly. Looking forward to next update.

Well last year my New Years Resolution was to not buy any stitchy stash other than any essentials that were needed. Well I am pleased to say that I stuck to that fairly well but this year I have ordered a little kit already ;).

Stay dry and warm everyone as the forecast doesn't look too good for this week.
