  • I'm so happy that I have found this thread. Used to do a fair bit of cross stitch years ago and have deceided to complete one for my Mum's Xmas present next year (nothing like forward planning)

We've now just decorated our front room and I'm thinking an elephant design would be nice in there. But I'm thinking I should start on something a bit simpler first, so maybe some little designs which I can put up the stairs. I;m excited about receiving the kit but a little bit worries that i'm taking on too much. Sooo....please wish me luck and i'll share piccies.

Was this from Trudy Anne? It's really cute and very similar to a needlecase design I bought (and stitched) from her a couple of years ago

  • Welcome to the Cafe lottie Don't forget the update pics ;).

    Great progress Mrs. M. :T

I was pretty sure someone in the Cafe stitched the knit stitch recently unless I just remember it from Pinterest.

Bought the fabric for the back of Keep Calm cushion today so hopefully it will spur me on now to get it finished. :D

    Mrs mp,
It is looking good, very intricate, not an easy chart I imagine.

Finished my crocheted blanket,it's took longer than I thought,it was getting as I was doing one row a night, but it's done.really pleased with it,very cosy.
Welcome to you,Lottie, enjoy your new kit.

    Hi everyone,

mrs m-p - great progress on your Celtic Noel piece.

fos - yes the design is from Trudy Anne - quite basic but I fell in love with the buttons lol!

Welcome lottie - I echo the others, please post some pics of your stitching :D

Haven't stitched anything since the weekend as DH and I have been watching the first series of Broadchurch - missed it first time around so watching on catch up. We've now watched 5 episodes and still can't work it out - no spoilers please :D

I've received the threads I ordered from sew and so. I'm having a think about what fabric to use. I have some ivory 16ct aida but the design on the pic uses 18ct Fiddlers Cloth which was oos at sew and so. Not sure what to do. I have some Belfast Linen but it's too dark. Itching to start the design, so it's a bit annoying!

    Have a good evening all.

    Morning all,
Masie I'll do a sort of stitch along with you on the 100 years as I need to have it finished by June when the head I'm doing it for retires.

Hi that would be great. It is out of stock at Sew and so at the moment but I have ordered it and will let you know when I get it. Hope it is soon as I am hopeless at finding time to stitch.

What sort of bird is it? It looks really fabulous.

Had the DGS this weekend plus two dogs,so not a lot of anything done but must get on with TT.
have been looking on e**y for a small geisha/Japanese type thing to do,saw one I liked but with one thing and another never did order it,just as well, found it in while going through some old magazines looking for a cup cake chart which I know I've got, didn't find them though!!
Weather foul here,so dark, think I will stitch the morning away.
Have a good day everyone, stay safe.
