Hi everyone,
mrs m-p - great progress on your Celtic Noel piece.
fos - yes the design is from Trudy Anne - quite basic but I fell in love with the buttons lol!
Welcome lottie - I echo the others, please post some pics of your stitching
Haven't stitched anything since the weekend as DH and I have been watching the first series of Broadchurch - missed it first time around so watching on catch up. We've now watched 5 episodes and still can't work it out - no spoilers please
I've received the threads I ordered from sew and so. I'm having a think about what fabric to use. I have some ivory 16ct aida but the design on the pic uses 18ct Fiddlers Cloth which was oos at sew and so. Not sure what to do. I have some Belfast Linen but it's too dark. Itching to start the design, so it's a bit annoying!
Have a good evening all.
Coxy
I love those Satsuma Street designs though I haven't acutally stitched any
Willow Fabrics sell the fabric and the prices look ok compared to sewandso.0 -

lottie - I'm really sorry there was a delay! I got your message the other day but I can only handle the membership of the group from a desktop, the links don't appear on my Ipad or phone.
So I kinda forgot....
Oops. Sorry! (It's done now!)0 -
Hi everyone,
Lovely bird update pm2326.
Thank you fos for the Willow Fabrics details. I went to JL on Saturday and bought a piece of white 18ct aida to make a start on the NY piece. I decided that I wasn't too keen on the Fiddlers Cloth - it has a flecked look, and I wanted something clean and fresh. It's going okay so far. The charts was a download and is spread over four pages (only 4 I hear you cry lol!). Keep stabbing my finger though so I need to get my thimble out
Working a fair bit this week and have finally finished Broadchurch series 1 so may have to wait until Thursday night when DH is at Scouts to pick up my stitching again.
Have a good evening all

My latest update for JNM leopard.
Great start nmm. :T
Well there has been very little stitching done here - just cannot seem to get into into it.I keep promising myself I am going to do some but just never seem to get around to starting it. I am so far through with the cushion now that I don't want to start another project until this is complete. It's probably down to the fact I am trying to get on top of everything else and by the time night time comes around I am too tired. But I will get back into it.
Have sorted a lot of stitchy stuff whilst having a wardrobe sort out. I have got rid of the majority of my mags - removed any charts I may stitch one day and have charity shopped the in tact ones. My stash isn't too out of control as I stuck to my resolution last year and refused to add to it - I think the only kit I bought was for a friend for Christmas present. So far this year I have bought an anniversary card kit - just because I like itand also bought a Stitching Shed Kit (stitching and felt) - looks quite basic and childlike really but it just appealed to me basic design and bonny bright colours but it is not getting started until this bloomin cushion is finished
.
Hope all our Cafe members are well - it has been so quiet in here.
Take care everyone

Big news! At last, I've FINALLY picked up a needle and done a little bit of stitching! Been almost two years, which I still can't believe, but I totally lost the bug for it. I had a little mill hill beaded Xmas dec kit for Christmas and took it along to my craft group on Friday. I haven't done much of it, but at least I've done something.
Also bought the Bothy Threads food map of Great Britain kit that I've been eyeing up for ages. Did you know Sew & So sell some kits through Amazon? I didn't, and this was free p+p too, so worked out better than buying from them directly. Especially as I had a amazon vouchers in my account, so I didn't pay much at all for it.

Yep. I guess they sell marketplace type stuff. Not sure how big the range is, as I only searched for this one kit, but it's great that you can use your amazon vouchers for cross stitch! Will post pics once there's enough to see. At the moment it's dark blue on navy paper, so hard to view.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27
