Hello
Its a weekend full of updates - band 15 done of the twisted band - two to go - this only contained cross stitch - I have done it slightly different than the designer - she had the butterflies split colour where I used one colour for body and the other for the wings.
And a wee close up - apologies its not a very good shot - cat was trying to get in on the act.
Now onto some speciality stitches, including a new one - Jessica stitch.
Well I am going to wrap up hubbys presents while he is still in bed but I have lost one - got it earlier in the year - hid it somewhere safe but where it is I don't know - its not where the others were hid - grrrrrrrrrr.
Kind wishes to all

pm, the snow family is super adorable, congrats on finishing it
sweetcarer, the only thing I see is in may to august, the flower names and months are in the opposite corners, unless its meant to be like that?? otherwise I don't see anything wrong at all
Its my birthday today and I hope to give myself a present of completing RF, fingers crossed.Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0 -

Hi everyone,
nmm - hope you had a lovely birthday and that you got your wish to finish RF! I look forward to seeing your pics!!!
mrs m-p - good news that your Dad is home and congratulations on news of a new grandchild. Will look forward to seeing the stocking updates!
sweetcarer - the blue year is lovely - what will you work on in your lunch break now?! Twisted band sampler is exquisite as always, such neat work.
pm2326 - lovely the finished snow family - looks great mounted up.
As for me - no further stitching done since Friday. I did however manage to wrap all the children's presents, so I'm done and ready for the festivities to begin. Just as well as the new job (combined with the charity work) is quite full on. I'm enjoying it though
Off out tonight for a Christmas meal with friends, carol concert tomorrow (where DS2 will sing solo aaaaaah) and we are having the neighbours in on Wednesday for drinks and nibbles. After that it's a fairly quiet (hopefully stitchy) week!!

Thank you for all the birthday wishes, I ended up fixing someone's computer for most of the day so not much stitching done. There is only like 200 stitches left if that and it seems mission impossible to get them done atm. Heres how close I am to finishing :rotfl:Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0

Asking for a bit of colour help! I'm making a little tiger birth sampler cross stitch for someone, and the design that they've picked out does not have a colour chart with it. I'm looking for two blues that will match these two as close as is possible, and it's on navy coloured aida if that helps.
Thanks in advance!0 -
I'm no expert at colour matching but looking through my dmc boxes, 995 for the light blue and 824 for the dark blue look to be a decent match. Can you go to somewhere like hobby craft to compare the shades??Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0
