pm2326, what is your ufo, is it a bird in a tree? do you have a link to the full picture?

Well no stitching for me since finishing RF, I decided to use the 18ct aida for Dreams of Atlantis instead of buying new fabric, then I went to start sorting out my threads but for some reason my heart is not in it. I can't start a huge project if I'm not feeling it, so I'm stuck and can't decide what to stitch

to be continued..... if I can find something I want to stitch :rotfl:

Hi yes it's a bird, here's the link

pm2326, that's beautiful, so bright and colourful, I hope it doesn't become a UFO again :)

Well I think I've decided what to stitch, its a Leopard from Jayne Netley Mayhew's Cross Stitch Safari Book, see pic below or a larger photo here only 12"x12" on 18ct so shouldn't take too long hopefully :p

thanks nnmm, it's supposed to be for my kitchen as it'll go well with colour scheme (grey's, cream & red) I also have a red acer in my garden which you can see from kitchen window....

Can't promise it won't become a UFO again...the fabric I ordered on Sunday from fleabay has arrived already (was thinking it would be next week at earliest) but I will resist for the time being :rotfl:

I love your new project, her designs are quite lifelike

Well in bad forum etiquette I shall reply to myself and post my RF TADA moment :j

Thanks FOS, will get it washed and framed soon.

You know the easy small leopard that i chose to do next, it has 47 colours and lots of fractionals, I 've not done any for like years as both BD and RF were whole stitches, lol. Everything is sorted for it and I managed about 10 stitches so far :rotfl:

To all my stitchy friends have a merry Christmas and I hope santa is good to you all. :santa2: :xmastree: :xmassign:

    Merry Christmas!

Update on the little tiger I'm working on for someone's birth sampler, and a quick question. What scissors does everyone recommend? DH has been sneaking and using my thread scissors on paper, so I'm in need of a new pair! The ones I have were just the cheap ones that came in a kit, but I'd love to get a pair of stainless steel ones like my mom has, but I have no clue what brand they are! They are older than me (I'll be 30 in January) and are just as sharp as ever. I do cross stitching, sewing on my machine, hand stitching, darning, crochet, and hopefully soon, fabric crafts, so I need something that will work for all of them. I'll have to make sure to keep it out of reach of little one once it arrives and starts moving!

And now for the update! Colours are a bit off due to camera and light conditions.

I think Fiskars are supposed to be good and not mega expensive.

Hope you're all having a wonderful day. Just started watching Muppets Christmas carol. Love this film. :)

    Merry Christmas everyone.

    Hope everyone is well.

Well I have finished band 17

    And its wee close up

So that means I am finished but I will keep you in suspense, as I have still to put the dedication on it.

I don't know what next - I know it has a partner but part of me wants to leave it just now, as this one was in memory of my Mum. I still have the learning sampler to finish, so have that to do and I have started the herb alphabet at work.

    Keep well,

    sweetcarer ;)
