Decided I was done with stitching Crimbo stuff ,so on Friday started a tatty ted kit that has been waitin years to be done, got about 50 ish stitches done.
Been to see mother on sat,who had been rushed in to hospital, got home sat ,5 o clockwish, stress levels off the scale
The care home telling us one thing, all lies, they hadn't bin monitoring her diabetes ,it was off the scale, hospital went mad at her condition.
Decide to make my self a proper latte and do some sewing,
Sat down with coffee and managed to spilt the whole cup all over my sewing, pattern, cottons the whole shebang,
The next half hour was spent trying to clean me and stitching up,washed the stitching then decided to iron it dry.
Switched steam iron on,which promptly blew up and splayed brown water everywhere,by now I was crying, hubby walked in asked how my day had gone.i couldn't speak!
This morning washed a white wash, put it out under car port, then decided to put bath towels out as well, promptly the line broken, all washing on floor!
Now lying down in dark room, what else can go wrong!
wow...they say bad luck comes in 3's, think you got all yours out of the way in one weekend
hope your mum gets better soon x0 -

Hello girls,
That's another two stitches done for the wee stitch book.
Queen Stitch
and ½ Queen Stitch
I was meant to do queens in the twisted band (last band I done) and going to be doing them in the learning sampler but they don't look right, so I created my own wee version - ½ queens.
Hope everyone is well, thank you all for your kind words, I don't mean to be a moaning minnie.
Off to work soon, so have a good day!

Morning all,
Love all the updates. The cushion is fab Mrs MP.
Hugs to all those who are having a tough time. Mrs ceejay - hope your week gets better.
I haven't picked up my stitching at all this weekend. Visited my Aunt and Uncle on Saturday - 150 mile round trip. He's been poorly recently and has had a 'bag' fitted. I went alone leaving DH at home with the children. Bit of a dilemma. Aunt used to knit (doesn't have time or inclination now) but knowing I've joined a knitting group she dug out some Jean Greenhowe booklets (7 in total) plus some patterns from the 70s (9d per pattern!!). I was looking through them and she offered them to me but made it clear that she wants payment for them. It was a bit awkward. How much should I give her? I know the JG booklets are about a fiver but honestly I wouldn't have bought these particular patterns tbh. There are a few little accessories for the clown dolls that may come in useful (robin, snowman) but nothing I pressingly want to knit. What made me laugh was, she was talking about them 'having a sort out' and clearing some space as they used to be avid car boot fans - not now Uncle is poorly though. What to do?
Starting a new job today at 10am. I've stopped gardening - after 7 years of self employment - and have been offered 10 hours a week, paid, at our church doing admin. Also do 8 hours a week for a local charity, so I'm working everyday but only for a few hours.
Sorry for the off topic ramble! Have a great day all.

My week end got better,in fact I not sure even needle and thread is safe
Tried to finish this to day, sewing machine made a funny noise and stopped!,,had to do it the long way by hand.
The last Christmas present finished though, thank goodness
The tatty ted is called painting hearts and as I said it is ancient I've had it years
Hoping for a better day tomorrow,DH says he will have a look at machine, fingers crossed.dont want to have to buy a new one.0 -
