Thanks
The "One hundred years" is a Lizzie Kate design. I won't be stitching it again, so if you like I'll pass the original on to you? Let me know if you want it.
Neither of them are "as designed", mind you! The Lizzie Kate is supposed to be stitched on sandy coloured linen with Cresecent Colours silks - neither of which I had in my stash...but I think it came out fine on ordinary 20 count Aida with DMC. The poppies were supposed to have endless french knots, which I left out. You'd never know if I hadn't said!0 -
Wow - just had a look on flickr and I must say that there is some beautiful work on there - you lot are a talented bunch (mrs milkybarkid that includes you too).
Lovely to see your WW1 stitch JCS1 - that is where it belongs. You must be so proud. :T
Will have to have another look on flickr when time permits - I see something different each time I have a look.
Trying to get sorted now that the workmen have finished so will pop back in when I can.

pm2326, nice update, will you complete it for this Christmas?
Evening everyone
NMM I didn't plan on finishing it by christmas but it seems to be coming together so easy, its a nice project to stitch. May look at frames just in case though.
That said, I've been poorly with a cough for 2 weeks & not sleeping very well, when I get up at 3 or 4 in the morning its too early for work so I've been stitching to keep my mind off the cough...cough appears to clearing up now so wont be getting up so early so less stitching time :rotfl:
anyway here's 3rd update2014-11-09 13.24.26 by pm2326, on Flickr

Not just me then...? I fell asleep last night sitting up in bed, sucking a cough sweet! Not found a cough medicine that actually works yet. So fed up with waking myself up with a coughing fit. Hope you get well soon.
The stitching is coming along nicely, though. It's a lovely design.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Yep I did that last night as started coughing bad as soon as head hit pillows, cough sweet and 4 pillows later I fell asleep.
I know what you mean about cough medicine, I started with Lems*p but it was more than useless, moved on to Covon*a and that wasn't much better to be honest and tasted awful. I've gone through 2 and half bottles in 2 weeks...not used it for 2 days now though0 -
Thanks

Four pillows and a small cushion for me. But I did manage some sleep, so I'm pleased about that. I started with beechams hot blackcurrant when I first felt rough. Started with a sore throat, which is horrible. No cough medicine ever seems to work on me-no matter how disgusting it tastes! Now I'm on Vit C dissolvable tablets (take daily anyway, but making sure I don't skip any days now!) and lemon squash made with hot water and some honey. So many bugs going round at this time of year.
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's exchange pieces. I love the variety of designs that are chosen.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27
