How bright and cheerful it looks

I had seen that site, but it just doesn't look professional enough for a company like Dimensions! Anyway, in looking for an old dimensions kit in my (far too big) of cross stitching stuff I found the instruction sheet. :) So job done.

The quilt doesn't look like much til it's complete and the backstitching gives it definition, but here 'tis. Plus the other one I did manage to complete for my beautiful little boy.

And... oh.. someone snuck into this one!

    Oh how cute he is

Great that you found what you needed

Lovely pictures timetodeal hope one day I get a grandchild to stitch lovely baby things for
In awe of poppies nmm, I think last stitch on the 11th would be very fitting
Loving your snowman flowers, it's a bit like that catchphrase game where each frame reveals a bit more of the final picture

The last 'xmassy' thing I stitched was a poinsettia card for my MIL, she framed it and it still sits on her wall!
Started 'South America' on my map tonight, really enjoying the stitching.
Anyone off to the NEC next weekend? I'm going with my friend who is a baker and a stitcher so we will visit both the craft hall and the cake hall, I feel a spend coming on. Lol don't tell my hubby!
Have a great weekend everyone, see you all in the other side of it, fingers crossed we don't get a visit from Ofsted this week.

Another Monday morning. Groan. Shouldn't complain really.

Pretty frustrated that over the last week, I've been in touch with 4 or 5 local computer repair companies and only one replied after I chased. (Too busy to help) I would like to use someone independent rather than a chain but it doesn't sound like they want my business. I only need the cooling fan replaced so not worth the hassle for them I guess as you pretty much have to take the laptop apart to get at it. I wish they would reply and say they are not interested so I can get it fixed by PC. World.

Felt like I wanted to stitch yesterday but didn't get round to it. Determined to start stitching something soon though, take to work to do on my lunch breaks etc.

Have a lovely day everyone :)

    Hi all

Annie love the map. The colours blend beautifully.

Mrs Ceejay your list is like mine too many things to do and not enough hours in the day lol

Time2deal welcome back and congrats on the birth of your gorgeous wee boy. Your stitching is lovely.

FOS got the pm thanks - will set to organising that.

PM - loving the snowman such bright colours

NMM - wow the remembrance fields has come on so well. It is really spectacular.

Well my news is, better all sit down for this, have finally finished 'Let's do Wine' - wooo hooo. Started it last March i.e. 2013 lol. Okay have done other stitches in between but glad it is finished. I will get it pressed etc and then pop up a picture. Will have to get it framed for my dad now.

Will concentrate on doing a few quick xmas bits and pieces now and then get on to my WIP lillies in the new year.
  • As I'm doing mum's heirloom quilt, I wasn't able to take it with me when visiting this weekend, so I've started the next available project in my list, which was a Winnie The Pooh one I was given many years ago for my birthday.
At least I have something I can work on when we visit. :) Will get a picture of progress for you soon. :)

The latest Heirloom quilt square is coming along well, I'm trying to get it finished before the next Craft Morning at church, so that I can start a new one. :)

    Hi all,

Lovely update pics - we are a busy bunch!

nmm - RF looks stunning, and not much more to do.

JCS1 - finished cat stitch looks amazing, that was really quick.

Annie021063 - the World map looks great.

pm2326 - love the snowman stitch, it's coming along nicely.

time2deal - very cute designs for your little one - I'm surprised you're able to find the time to stitch!

In my news, I have finished the Michael Powell mini cottage. Have bought a mini easel from Tiger and will mount it onto some white board I think.

Back to stitch Girl with Cosmos - lots of white, blue white, lilac white....you get my drift. Have decided to do some white each time I pick it up, rewarding myself with stitching another section (hair/flowers etc.) as a reward.

fos - thank you for the message about the Christmas exchange, and for organising us all again this year - you're a star xx

    Have a good day all

Love the little easel - it will really set off that lovely MP design
  • I've been so busy admiring all the lovely work posted here that I have forgotten to share my latest 2 finishes - both small designs with a Halloween theme. Both stitched but not finished/framed in any way yet.

This is French Country Witch by JBW Designs stitched on sparkly hand dyed evenweave from a Polstitches grab bag using hand dyed thread = colour Nevermore - by Jodyri Designs. I bought the chart at the Craft Show I went to in September and loved stitching it.

and this one which was finished in the early hours of 31st October is Beware by Shepherds Bush stitched on 20 count cotton sparkly evenweave which I tea dyed. It was stitched with DMC #5 perle threads from stash so I subbed some of the colours and I also used a button from stash instead of the SB one. The chart was given to me by a dear friend so it was a very :money: project

Have made a start on my Christmas card but of course I can't show that yet:D

Hope all are having a good day
