nmm: Almost finished - great! Keep up the good work, it's a lovely, bright piece.Elizabeth
Long-term No Buys: print books, make-up, art/craft items
Lost 8 of the 20lbs I need to shed:D0 -
I've got my latest two finishes back from the framer's. They're in our Flickr group if anyone wants a nosey
And now, after two excursions into coloured silks - I'm off to more of the monochrome monstrosity!
Love them both. The poppies are colourful and very appropriate but the LZ is still almost monochrome0 -

Evening everyone
NMM I didn't plan on finishing it by christmas but it seems to be coming together so easy, its a nice project to stitch. May look at frames just in case though.
That said, I've been poorly with a cough for 2 weeks & not sleeping very well, when I get up at 3 or 4 in the morning its too early for work so I've been stitching to keep my mind off the cough...cough appears to clearing up now so wont be getting up so early so less stitching time :rotfl:
anyway here's 3rd update2014-11-09 13.24.26 by pm2326, on Flickr
It's lovely - so bright and colourful. Hope you feel better soon0 -

Hello
I have been looking at various projects but haven't picked up a needle yet..... I've been busy in my spare time reading (recently read the two Lynda Bellingham books) and now reading the new Michael Connelly.
I'm determined to do some stitching though.... (I just can't decide what!)
I do like the cat designs that featured in Cross Stitcher (issue October 2014) and I also like the Down on the Shore cushion design (if you have this mag, pages 36 and 37) The material used is 19 count blue Zweigart Ariosa evenweave ref 3711/5091 but the stockist mentioned (Willow Fabrics) don't appear to have it (I can't see it on their website and remember on another occasion material used by Cross Stitcher in one of their designs which used material from Willow Fabrics wasn't available for some reason).
What material would peeps suggest as an alternative?
Thanks0 -

I would telephone Willow Fabrics to check if they have the fabric (or email them) - I did this with a fabric that was featured in a magazine which I couldn't see on the website.
Alternatives could be 18 count Davosa or 20 count Bellana if there is a colour which you think would work0
