Lovely stitching ladies.
Your pincraft baubles are gorgeous, sweetcarer. What a lot of talents you have! Sorry to hear your hubby is not having a great time at college, but good on him for trying something new.
Elvis looks fab pm2326. It's a great design, doesn't look like cross stitch at all.
The cat sampler is gorgeous, FOS. I'm sure the recipients will be thrilled.
Yellow cab is lovely, Annie. How much back stitching do you have to do?
Well, I took a kit away on holiday and managed to do about 20 stitchesWe took the boys to Center Parcs and were so shattered in the evenings that I just didn't have the energy for stitching. It is going to become a WIP for now as I am going to start Kissing the face of God tonight. My threads are sorted, just got to get the fabric on the scroll frame and I'm off! The threads are quite dark to begin with and are mainly blends of 2 colours, so I've ordered a lamp with magnifier to help me see what I'm doing. It's not here yet but I will see how I get on without it for now. I'm quite excited about my first steps on my first "big" project
Can anyone use a copy of Issue 109 of Cross Stitch Gold? I back ordered one as I fancied a go at the peacock and/or cat cushion sometime. It didn't turn up so I contacted the publisher and then 2 arrived. Followed by another a couple of weeks later! So I have 2 spare copies which I am happy to pass on for the cost of postage.IMG_20140910_111335 by Mrs Nut, on Flickr

I am still around, but I've been seriously busy, what with moving house and then getting married.
I finally finished the Dictionary of Tea cross-stitch that is for my best friend's 50th birthday next month.0 -

That is wonderful news Time to start looking at Home Sweet Home samplers0 -
Just downloaded the Christmas Ornaments issue of Just Cross Stitch magazine - I have a digital subscription - so will be looking through for ideas for the Christmas exchange.
Last year we offered the choice of card, ornament or coaster and I think I was able to work it out so that people received their preference. Happy to do this again.
We launched the idea in October last year and I took sign ups until the end of October. Stitching was during the month of November and posting was 1st December. It's a Monday this year so seems ideal as we should all receive our pieces during the first week of December.
Like last year I think we need to limit sign ups to active or known Cafe members as I don't want anyone to be disappointed.0 -

Looking fab Annie. You are nearly there. That would look fab in DS's bedroom but I don't think he is really a fan of cross stitch pics. He has The It Crowd one on display.kezbabybabe wrote: »I am still around, but I've been seriously busy, what with moving house and then getting married.
