Absolute pleasure to stitch, though with the honeymoon coming up, I will probably take a break from craftiness and concentrate on my reading.0 -
I hope this post finds everyone well. I still haven't been doing any stitching but I hope the bug bites me soon. I've been busy having a sort out so we can decorate - all my stitchy stuff has had to be moved and I've tried to get it in some kind of order. Its reminded me of all the lovely projects I have to do and I hope I find myself picking up the needle again soon.0

Hi Girls,
Just thought I show you all what I received in my exchange - never used over dyed threads before - they are not colourfast so don't know what to use them in.
Love the finishing in the snowman, makes me feel mine is pretty poor in comparison.
Kind wishes to all

Hi everyone!
I'm still around, just not very productive stitch-wise at the mo. This is how far I've got on my Paradise Island cross stitch:
And this is part of what has been keeping me away from it (inspired to post here by Coxy's box photo), namely a major thread reorganisation (of which this organiser display represents a mere quarter of the work involved):

Long-term No Buys: print books, make-up, art/craft items
Lost 8 of the 20lbs I need to shed:D0 -
I did a row of stitches yesterday which is my first cross stitch efforts in months. I'm stitching a little elephant design that featured in cross stitcher mag a couple of months back. Its not a festive design though and as September creeps on, I feel inspired to start something festive.
I was sorting through my mags today. It was funny to see the changes over the years!0 -
Flying visit I'm afraid. Need to order some threads for Keep Calm cushion - any recommendations for best offers atm. Locally they are 97p a skien. Is it better to contact companies before ordering if you require several of the same shade?
Been to Ikea today and bought a couple of frames so hopefully will have time to get those sorted during the week and will be able to post some pics soon.
Lovely boxes Coxy
Great to see you back in the Cafe FE :hello:
Your exchange gifts are beautiful sweetcarer. Don't run your work down - it always looks so neat.
What a lot of boxes you have Elizabeth. You must be very organised. Lovely colours on Paridise Island stitch.
Have done a little bit of stitching tonight but need to catch up with things on laptop so have put it away for tonight.
Catch up with all through the week.

Evening all
Drum roll.......
I've finished 'new York'
The taxi had back stitching but I've unpicked it as it really didn't look right, so I've left just back stitching for street lights
Hubby pinned it on wall and I think it looks better without it ( there was hardly any)
So glad it's done, now to get it framed and up.
Decided to finish a map of the world I had started before I tackle 'THE BIG ONE'
If you have noticed a bit missing from top left side I've already done it, took picture before and then noticed I'd missed a bit!

Coxy, lovely boxes i really like those
sweetcarer shuch lovely things, the snowman looks lovely so sparkly and happy. non colourfast threads would make me nervous as well, certainly not for use on anything that may need washing.
Elizabeth beautiful organisation and a lovely start on paradise island
Annie well done on finishing your new york taxi.
