I have that saying in an applique picture (not my handiwork) hanging in the kitchen. I do like that sampler too.

    Lovely stitching ladies.

Your pincraft baubles are gorgeous, sweetcarer. What a lot of talents you have! Sorry to hear your hubby is not having a great time at college, but good on him for trying something new.

Elvis looks fab pm2326. It's a great design, doesn't look like cross stitch at all.

The cat sampler is gorgeous, FOS. I'm sure the recipients will be thrilled.

Yellow cab is lovely, Annie. How much back stitching do you have to do?

Well, I took a kit away on holiday and managed to do about 20 stitches :o We took the boys to Center Parcs and were so shattered in the evenings that I just didn't have the energy for stitching. It is going to become a WIP for now as I am going to start Kissing the face of God tonight. My threads are sorted, just got to get the fabric on the scroll frame and I'm off! The threads are quite dark to begin with and are mainly blends of 2 colours, so I've ordered a lamp with magnifier to help me see what I'm doing. It's not here yet but I will see how I get on without it for now. I'm quite excited about my first steps on my first "big" project :)

Can anyone use a copy of Issue 109 of Cross Stitch Gold? I back ordered one as I fancied a go at the peacock and/or cat cushion sometime. It didn't turn up so I contacted the publisher and then 2 arrived. Followed by another a couple of weeks later! So I have 2 spare copies which I am happy to pass on for the cost of postage.

Ooooops sorry all, just skimmed read - my bad!!!

It's an all over job as there are so many 'natural highlights' lol! I used to go and have it done, but the greys came through after about 3 weeks so cheaper to do it myself :money:

Is anyone (South) going to Ally Pally? I'm going with my mum and a girl from my knit and natter group on the Friday. Not that I need anything mind..........

Annie yes the mags are still available. PM me your address and I'll send one to you.

I forgot to say congrats on the house nmm. I'm sure you'll have lots of fun decorating it with your creations :)

I started my new project last night and managed about 15 stitches! Grey, blended threads with lots of changes on 18 count was tough going in lamplight. My new magnifying craft lamp has arrived today so hopefully I can make a bit more progress this evening.

I'm going, but on Wednesday 8th Oct. I don't *need* anything either, but it's a day out with friends, so I'm sure I'll end up buying something...;)

    Hi again everyone,

Wow you've been a busy lot, so many lovely makes.

nmm - RF looks amazing. I do feel for you with all that red though!

Fos - cute cat wedding sampler.

Annie - NY looks great - what's next?

Mrs ceejay - lovely progress on the 'stitched' piece

Pm2326 - Elvis has a face! God he was gorgeous.....

Sweetcarer - lovely pin craft and pin cushion. I went to hobbycraft to see if they had any pin craft Christmas kits, but I'm too early(!) What a shame, I shall have to pop back again......

JCS1 - your little lady is beautiful

Ayeshalush - the postcard looks great, I remember those from CSC. Lovely start on your other piece too

Big bird - your irises look lovely, well worth finishing.

No stitching by me these last few weeks. Was hoping to do some tonight but DS1 has a yr 11 expectations evening I need to go to as DH scouts starts again tonight.

I managed to get some storage boxes for my wool and magazines today in WHS. My stitching stash fits nicely into a chest in the lounge, but no room for anything else lol,

    Keep the updates coming :)
