Hello everyone. We're trying to get funding for LoveQuiltsUK (you might have come across us? - we make quilts from cross-stitch panels for sick children) http://www.lovequiltsuk.com We're hoping to win up to £2000 in funding but we need some votes. Trying to get the cross stitch community behind us as we're a few short at the moment. Would you mind giving us a few votes?

    https://www.directdebit.co.uk/DirectDebitPromotions/BigBreak2014/Pages/CauseDetail.aspx?CauseId=642

    Thank you :)

I initially discovered LoveQuiltsUK through this very board, on the Charities section :)

I've voted It's a great cause - I have stitched a few squares and donated some patchwork fabric (though not recently so I will check it out again). Thanks for the reminder

Here's the first boy born about 9pm last night. Other one born about 2.30am is camera shy at the moment but is a gorgeous deep chestnut brown with a white tip on his tail:

Thanks for the comments re the floral cat, although I hate BABS I do love the effect, my work friends loved it and said the recipient will be delighted. I'm making it into a card so i'm going to buy some A4 sheets of card just wondered what thickness you guys recommend? Is 170gsm good enough or should I get thicker like 240-300gsm?

coxy it was spread over 3 days, I don't think I could cope 6 hours straight :rotfl: Is the coffee stain on the right edge of the photo? if so you should be fine washing it when finished and hopefully the stain will come out, or perhaps wash it now if it bothers you before you get too far into it?

Sayaka, have voted good luck :)

JCS1, aww lovely boy, I love seeing all the lambs when i'm out, they are so adorable.

b_e_g - hope you're feeling bit better and haven't had to go into hospital. My friend's daughter ended up being admitted with really bad tonsillitis last week, but she only had to stay one night, just long enough for a few doses of iv antibiotics, so if you to have to go in it may only be overnight.

fos - I had spotted Vanessa too, must have been in an e-mail or on sew and so. She is very like Sleeping Beauty.

Feeling a lot better thanks Ali. The drs has decided that the abs have started to work and he wants to see me again next week so I am one happy bunny with that. He did however give me a steroid injection in my heal whilst I was there

I got an email today and Vanessa jumped out at me. Was she trying to get my attention I wonder :D

marywooyeah I thought it was funny that the post following yours was Emily asking for recommendations for a sampler for her Nan's 90th birthday - probably won't find anything suitable on your link:D s

ooh I don't know, Emily might have a naughty granny with a cracking sense of humour lol! x

JCS1, aww cute :) I hope mum is doing well now.

I couldn't decide what card thickness to buy so I purchased this set http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/231222025169?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649, a good mix of colours/gsm and only £2.85 should keep me going for a while.
