Thanks fos.
Like Vanessa very much. At first glance reminded me of Sleeping Beauty - it must have been the white dress, dark hair and lying on couch.

You're right - there are similarities and I loved your Sleeping Beauty. However while Vanessa is not a quick project it isn't quite the labour of love your SB was0 -
Hello everyone. We're trying to get funding for LoveQuiltsUK (you might have come across us? - we make quilts from cross-stitch panels for sick children) http://www.lovequiltsuk.com We're hoping to win up to £2000 in funding but we need some votes. Trying to get the cross stitch community behind us as we're a few short at the moment. Would you mind giving us a few votes?

Thank you
I initially discovered LoveQuiltsUK through this very board, on the Charities section0 -
Just on quickly to post an update pic of Daisy Girl. The aida is an oatmeal flecked colour and I've realised that there is a stain on it
hopefully this will be covered by stitching. The chart was in the ottamen which doubles as a coffee table and I think someone spilled their drink and it dribbled through

Will be back later for a proper catch up session.

a little bit of stitching done here last night but it was only back stitch, my DD2s partners eldest lost her first tooth last week, i gave her a little bag to put it in and told her after the fairy had collected that tooth she could give it me back and id personalise it for her so that in future the fairies would know whos teeth they were collecting. so that was last nights taskSPC~12 ot 124

Right, I've finished some of my errands, so now for a proper catch up!
JCS1 - love the progress on the tractor/farmyard pic. I especially like the little hens.
mrs m-p/Ayeshalush - I'm really liking the book. I'm about 60% of the way through now (on kindle)
mrs m-p - the stain is to the right and only just visible in the pic - about the size of a coaster - will hopefully be covered fingers crossed.
Mrs ceejay - nowt wrong with being organised for Christmas :-D I've got a lot of Christmas kits/charts in my stash, so I've challenged myself not to buy any more Christmas ones until I've done the ones I already have.
fos - will take a look at jardin prive as I really like the pic you posted. Vanessa looks like a challenge!
b-e-g - the red tree design is lovely, the hearts will really set it off
nmm - cute cat design - please tell me you didn't do 6 hours straight on the BABS?!
I received my copy of cross stitch crazy yesterday - the July issue. It came with a cute owl card kit that is definitely on my to do list. Nothing else caught my eye though. I'm so glad I sign up for these 5 issue for £5 offers as I'd be disappointed with paying full price when there's nothing I'd like to stitch.
DS2 (10) DH and I are walking 30km tomorrow on a sponsored walk and the weather looks atrocious (for the morning at least, and we start at 7.30am). Please wish us luck as although DS2 says he won't moan I think it will still be a challenge. I've just been to £land and bought loads of choc bars, sweets etc. to keep us going, plus the organisers give us bacon rolls at 9ish and a picnic lunch around 12noon.
Right, the stairs won't hoover themselves so I'd best get on. Have a good day all.

Afternoon,
Not much stitching going on, had 2 calves born last night (well, last night and very early hours of this morning!) so suspect not much stitching tonight either.
Have a good weekend x0 -

b_e_g - hope you're feeling bit better and haven't had to go into hospital. My friend's daughter ended up being admitted with really bad tonsillitis last week, but she only had to stay one night, just long enough for a few doses of iv antibiotics, so if you to have to go in it may only be overnight.
fos - I had spotted Vanessa too, must have been in an e-mail or on sew and so. She is very like Sleeping Beauty.
Coxy11 - I can't see the stain either. Fingers crossed the stitching covers the stain. If not a quick wash when you've finished may do the job. I finished The Book Thief last night. I really enjoyed reading 'something different' for a change. Just started Gone Girl. I signed up for '5 for £5' of Cross Stutch Crazy as well. The issue I received yesterday is my 2nd but I have to say I'm not very impressed with it. There is the odd thing that I might stitch (like the baby cards in the previous one and the owl card freebie with this one) but not enough to continue with the subscription. Phoned today to cancel (after my 5th mag), which they did without any probs, and was offered any cross stitch or papercrafting magazine on 3 for £1!! As many titles as I wanted and they could run together or one after the other!!! Was sensible though and just opted for 1 - Cross Stitch Gold.
Good luck with your walk and I'll keep my fingers crossed that the forecast is wrong for you!
JCS1 - Aww, lovely. Any photos of the calves. I just love baby animals...who doesn't!
Hoping to get a fair bit of stitching on Henry done this weekend, will post a progress photo on Sunday. Haven't managed to do any during the week as I've been busy making cards as I've decided to have a stall at a local craft fair (if they accept me and have if they have any cancellations later in the year) so I need to get my stocks built up.
Have a good weekend everyone.
Ali
