Your next project is lovely. Very nostalgic

big bird. The largest project starts with the first stitch as Chairman Mao would have said if he was a stitcher0 -

Yep. That's about the best description that can be given for it. Seems like everyone has one but me. I know in my head that's not the case, and there are many others who go through what I've been through. It's extremely rare to lose a baby after the 12 week mark, but it does happen. We lost Dale the day before I was 20 weeks. I should be 7 months pregnant at the moment with a belly and worrying about finding clothes that fit and nursery furniture, not mourning over her death. I know that we will have kids, and I just have to be patient. I'm only 29, so, physically, I have years left. Mentally though, I'm not sure. I'll never give up, I just don't want it to drive me insane. I already feel like I am some days, but my medication does help.
I'm stitching more on the bunny today and staying OFF the internet for the most part. One of my online friends had her little girl this past weekend, and even with as overjoyed as I am for her and her daughter, I can't help but be a bit jealous.
I don't know if I posted this here or not, but they were able to find what happened, and due to it, they discovered that I have a clotting disorder and I'll be on low dose aspirin for the remainder of my life. In light of everything, I am extremely thankful and grateful that the problem was a very simple one and one that is very easy to correct.
I have a feeling that painting and stitching are going to be my two major therapy choices in the upcoming months.
I'll update as soon as I've finished the bunny! I've already picked out another design that I'd like to do, and I'm going to add a scripture to it as well.
Forgot to say: I've started watching NCIS from the very beginning today! Watching/listening while I'm stitching is a wonderful way to let time slip by and it keeps my mind more focused on the task at hand without feeling overworked.0 -

This made me laugh, thank you! I love your update. I wish it did count as an aerobic exercise
Well, I have studied page 1 of my new chart and there are no less than 79 different colour symbols  There are 14 different symbols on the first line alone! I thought if I did the first page, struggled and didn't think I'd finish it, then I'd not have laid out too much money. But those 79 symbols need 83 different colours of thread (68 of them represent blends of 2 colours). This project just gets bigger the more I look at it. But, in a way, that's making me more determined not to be beaten by it. In at the deep end I think
Mrs_T_M I hope you're enjoying NCIS. I can't imagine how devastating it must be to lose a baby so far into the pregnancy. But that's good that you know there's a reason for it and can hopefully stop it happening again in the future. You can do anything, make anything, dream anything. If you change the world, the world will change.0 -
Just seen that Sew and So are doing 15% off everything with the code SPRING15
Not sure how long it applies for.

Thanks I need to order some 14 Aida so the discount will help.
I've not started stitching yet, can't seem to get myself sorted out. Maybe I'll wake up with more energy tomorrow. Printer has broken too so I'm having to rely on old magazines to find a pattern and they all seem to be christmassy lol!
Mrs TM really sorry for what you are going through, sending big hugs and I'm actually watching ncis as I type
bigbird good luck with your very large project!
FOS that's coming on really well, you stitch quickly
JCS wow that looks even better now the back stitch is done, love the look of your next project

Sorry if I've missed anyone, sending hugs to anyone who needs them. Hopefull TT I'll start a little project soon even if it ends up being a christmassy one0 -
Thanks for the kind words re BD, i shall miss him when he's done.
happysocks the chart is very simple to follow, it looks more difficult than it is, plus there's no backstitch :j
FOS, if I stitch is coming along great
JCS1, love the next project.Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0 -
Finally finished the little guy!
Started stitching two little owls for my next little project.
Currently on Season 1, episode 8 of NCIS. All of the characters are so young! They're like little kids! (although, they are probably still all older than me even in season 1!)
DH has been extra nice tonight, even helped me throw together a batch of chocolate chunk brownies. The recipe says it serves 9-12. More like a hungry Emily and Jethro (that's our first names).0 -
JCS - I like your next project, there is so much detail in the design.
FOS - if I stitch fast is coming along nicely, what fabric are you stitching it on? I have only used Aida but fancy trying something else for my next project.
Mrs T-M - I can't imagine what your going through, big hugs. The grey bunny is very cute, what do you plan to do with him? I love NCIS and am keeping my eyes peeled for series 10!
Thank you for the kind words on my wedding sampler, I'm really pleased with how it's turning out. Made a mistake yesterday and had to unpick about an hours work  it would have bothered me if I left it though!DD born 14/12/11

Probably just stick it in a frame and put it into our bay window, like some of the other pieces I've completed. Either that or on the china cabinet.
Today was going well, until my morning routine was crashed by one of our bunnies deciding she was going to bite me and my reaction ended up splitting her lip. We have both been patched up, pain relieving cream has been applied to both of us and I'm keeping an eye on her to make sure she will still eat. If it isn't one thing, it's another eh?0
