Kez - I love your scarf so pretty, are you doing this in part of a group? Stitching on a circular needle is something else I haven't been able to master.
Yes, it's part of the Crafts from the Cwtch group on Ravelry - The blog is here: http://www.craftsfromthecwtch.co.uk/
Luckily this project isn't circular, the needles are there to hold the project as it will get longer and longer on the needles.

Managed to take the cross-stitch to the craft morning on Saturday, so here's an update for you:

b_e_g - I could have sworn I'd read The Book Thief but now I'm not sure, will need to read again, just in case (and before I see the film).

DH has just started Book Thief and I don't think he is too impressed with the start but I have told him to stick with it. :D

    Hey everyone

Sorry haven't been around for a while.

I've been seconded to a special project at work which has a specific deadline of 31 March so have been working long hours and weekends.

Going to work at 6.30am, get home at 7.30pm and in bed by 9.30pm so no time whatsoever for stitching :(

As I've not stitched for 8 weeks Elvis will definately not be ready for mothers day or mums birthday in April so it's going to be a xmas present.

Hopefully once we get into April my workload will calm down and go back to normal hours, I am so desperate to pick up my needle again :)

Well time I got off to sleep again, take care and enjoy your weekend x

Lovely to see you back in the Cafe. Hope you will manage some stitchy time soon. :D

A little stitching done this weekend. Mainly though we were in the garden. I missed a phone call from hobbycraft yesterday so will call them today, I will be declining whatever the outcome. Will feedback regarding the manager who was rude to me. Their loss :D

Off to see the nurse for my 3 yearly 'ladies' appointment this morning. Dreading it but needs must etc. At least it's first thing so won't have to stress about it all day

    Have a good day all.

Such a shame as I bet you would have been in your element working with all that crafty stuff but it doesn't sound as though you would have been very happy with the situation there. I don't blame you for commenting on manager's rudeness - there just is no excuse for it. Hopefully something else will come your way soon.

You stitched this really quickly Mrs. M. Looking forward to seeing which frame you choose. Is it a gift or for yourself?

Made good progress with anemones this morning - not much cross stitch left to do and then there is some backstitch and beads to finish it. Had hoped to complete the cross stitch by today as we are off to Harrogate tomorrow for a couple of days and I don't usually take cross stitch away with me (especially when there is only the fiddly bits left to do).

Had been thinking of what to stitch next and it might be this one from my stash.

Oh well that's all for now - the washer is just about ready to scream for me.

    Hi all,

Mrs MP - tulips look great and they didn't take you long :)

beg - you too have stitched up the anemones really quickly. I need to get my groove on with my wip. The sheep design looks lovely - is it all cross stitch? Enjoy your break.

kez - dictionary of tea looking good. Love all the colours.

Appointment went fine yesterday. Spent the morning gardening, then housework in the afternoon. I didn't do any cross stitch as I'm busy knitting poppies for the 100 year commemoration that the knit and natter group are doing for church. Hoping to do some stitching this afternoon.

I was offered the hobbycraft job but declined. I gave the manager feedback about the assistant manager's manner - not that I expect him to do anything about it :rotfl:

Will post an update pic of the stockings on the next post as I need to use the ipad.
