Hi Girls
Some of you may remember I am looking for a magazine (at the time I couldn't remember the title) well after last night I found it was - Creative Stitches - issue 1 - it came out in the UK. It was from the 90s early 2000s.
I have been looking for it for years and last night I got a bag of cross stitch stuff someone was putting out and in it was its cover. I lost my copy in a house fire and why I am looking to replace it. I will try and get a photo later to you.
Thank you,
sweetcarer:j cross stitch forever, housework whenever :j0 -
craftycraft - nice to 'see' you.
luckycat99 - thanks. Will go check her out.
Sweetcarer = sorry, I can't help with the mag, but now you know which one it is you could maybe contact the oublisher to see if there is a way to get hold of it (or even just the chart that you are looking for).

sweetcarer love the book you are designing with all the stitches in. I tend to just do the basics but would love to learn others and to see how many there are is amazing.
Is this the one you are looking for http://www.amazon.co.uk/Creative-Stitches-Magazine-Number-Stitch/dp/B00FPKEZK6
Mrs Ceejay - looking forward to seeing your peacock update. It must be hard when you like you do different crafts as it's a juggle to know what to do next.
ruth - looking forward to seeing a picture of your blanket.
PM sorry work is so hectic at present. Hopefully it will calm down soon and you will get back to your stitching.
Ayeshalush - the golden anniversary stitch is really coming along. I like the design.
Kez - do you have much of your dictionary of teas to go? I really love these designs they are so fun.
Mrs MP - the tulips are beautiful and you stitched them so quickly. I have that kit in my stash - another roundtoit one !!!
beg looking forward to seeing the anemones finished. I really like your next choice the sheep. May I ask where you got it please as my parents live in the country surrounded by sheep and my dad would love something like that. I know there are loads of cards, coasters etc with those designs on but didn't realise they were in cross stitch too.
nmm is the end in sight for BD? I can't recall how many pages it was in total. What are you planning to do with him when he is finished? Should have pride of place somewhere with all the work you have done.
coxy the stockings are coming along great. I'm glad you managed to give feedback on the job interview and the asst manager. Well done for being offered the job even though you did not want it in the end.
fos - I like the stitcher's saying. Is that a needlecase that they have done at the bottom corner. It's really pretty.
Maria - the blubird is so cute and nice and bright.
Tina hiya. Hope you manage to get settled into your new house and the jobs needing done aren't too big.
Have been up since 4:15 this morning as I needed the loo then couldn't get back to sleep. I will be like a zombie today at work!!0 -
Hi,
Still doing the peacock,am on the borders, which is a bit boring,it is not as colourful as I thought it was going to be,but I am going to finish it.(picture to follow).
The blanket is getting quite big so it's taking longer to go round, but it's keeping my legs warm .
I keep reading all your posts, some of your projects are amazing,
nmm can't wait to see your BD finished,it will be fantastic,
Ayeshalush your golden wedding is so pretty
Sweetcarer your little book is a great idea

Mrs Ceejay - peacock looks great. I love the colours

Couldn't seem to get my act together last night re: stitching. I started at 9pm which was too late to do anything meaningful. I'm enjoying stitching the stockings but there's a lot of cream/off white/blueish white and it makes my eyes pop trying to see where I'm at. This is despite using my craftlight with LEDs and a magnifying glass. Would be lost without it.
Thinking about my next project. I'm going to purchase the Silver Wedding Nia designs chart from sew and so. The kit uses 16ct aida. I'd prefer to use evenweave. Does anyone know what the equivalent would be? Sorry for being rubbish
We have a busy weekend planned, visiting relatives plus DS1s rugby match. Hope you all have a good one. The weather (at least down here in Kent) is meant to be nice.

32 count evenweave is the equivalent of 16 count aida but you could probably use 28 count (equivalent to 14 aida) if 32 is a bit small. The project would be a bit bigger on 28 but if you'r cutting your own fabric that shouldn't be a problem. To work out the size of fabric divide the stitch count by 14 if using 28 evenweave (width and length) and then add at least 2 inches all round (so 4 to the width and 4 to the length) I usually add 6 inches if I'm cutting a piece of fabric but will compromise if I have a piece that is almost the correct size. If you use 32 count you should be able to use the same size of fabric supplied in the kit.
The Nia designs are lovely0 -
Hi girls - I'm back already.
Back to all the mundane stuff. Just trying to have a quick catch up with you all.
beg - you too have stitched up the anemones really quickly. I need to get my groove on with my wip. The sheep design looks lovely - is it all cross stitch? Enjoy your break.
Looking forward to getting back into anemones this weekend. Yep the sheep are cross stitch.
Great progress - coming along very nicely. :T
Yet another great update. :T
