sweetcarer you learning sampler and stitch booklet are coming on beautifully. hugs for you i hope you got through yesterday ok, so sorry to hear your sister is being how she is. everyone has their own way of dealing with things and no-one should try and force their ways or views on others.

    Afternoon,

Smokey kitten now moved into the house. I couldn't put him in dog crate in the barn after he had been in for most of Saturday, so he's sleeping on my bed (and likes attacking feet and toes during the night )

Update on current project below. If anyone else is planning on doing any in this range, then linen would be better than aida - lots of fractional and half cross stitches.

    Lovely update pics ladies. :T

Finished anemones over the weekend and DH has just framed it for me so will take a pic tomorrow in daylight.

Made decent progress on the sheep pic over the weekend. It seems quite a nice easy one to stitch.

Will try and pop in tomorrow with the pics.

    Take care everyone

Thank you - I really enjoyed stitching it so I think that might be why it didn't seem to take too long.

Really love your peacock. The colours would go lovely in my bedroom ;) :rotfl: Good luck with the gold metallic. I usually shy away from too much metallic thread but the ladies in the Cafe have suggested trying Thread Heaven (bought but not used yet) which makes using the metallic stuff a bit easier to use. I have a sampler to do sometime and I am pretty sure there is silver metallic in that.

Love your sewing box JCS1 - the colours are gorgeous. I know what you mean about fractionals and aida. The one I'm doing atm is on aida and there are several fractionals and I'm really struggling to get the needle through the centre.

Time for a couple more pics I'm afraid - bit like buses - none for ages and they all come at once :D

and sorry this one is OFF TOPIC but I thought I would share it with you - my first attempt at knitting. Might give knitting another chance at a later date but atm I'm sticking with xstitch.

Just about to get stitching out now as we've eaten out at lunchtime today for our anniversary so no need to bother too much later - maybe a little drink and a few nibbles will be in order.

    Beg
If you are interested in doing it,send me a text and I will send the chart over to you when I have finished it x
  • beg I love your anemones - some of my favourite colours. You stitched it really quickly. Ewe are my sunshine is coming along really fast as well - your needle must be smoking. The knitted cushions are great and don't at all look like a first attempt

mrsceejay hope you will soon feel better A lot of my family whom we saw at the weekend had colds and one of the little ones was really suffering as his ear became blocked

Your peacock looks wonderful and I'm sure the metallic thread will be worth the effort. I agree with the recommendation of Thread Heaven for taming metallics (that plus use shorter lengths than with stranded cotton)

jcs great progress on the sewing box and lovely colours

bigbird The design you have chosen is stunning. "Magic" aida which is marked out in 10 count blocks would help with your counting on a big project like this

maisie Those terracotta pot buttons are really effective

sweetcarer Beautiful work as always. Sorry can't help with the magazine but if I ever see a copy I will snap it up for you.. Such a shame you are not getting the support you need and deserve from your sister

No stitching for me at the weekend - Saturday I was taken out by DS and family and Sunday I cooked for my mum and family (her choice not to go out). This is not a complaint as I know how lucky I am to still have my mum around to spoil

Superhero name was given to grandson who was delighted so I'm happy.

Hope all are enjoying spring sunshine :)
