Does anyone here happen to have the March 2012 issue of Cross Stitcher? Number 250 I believe. I'm looking for the 'Guess how much I love you' pattern that was in it. Thanks in advance!

Sorry can't help with this one Mrs_TM

Smokey kitten was limping this morning, so trip to the vets - he's fractured the end of his "toe" and it needs amputating  He's 6 months old so he's getting neutered at the same time.

Just don't ask how much it's going to cost.............. but I need a lie down to recover!

Hope Smokey isn't in too much pain. Hope you have recovered from the shock of the vets bill. I can imagine - we had a hamster that had to go the vets a couple of times last year.

    Lovely cards Maisie. :T

Well the cross stitching is back out I'm pleased to say. Stitching a kit I had in my stash for my Mum as the one I did years ago for her hallway is looking a bit tired. Hadn't realised at first that it was on evenweave (which I like) but it contains beads  I know I might be in the minority but I actually don't mind french knots ;).

    Well that's it for now.

Maisie M - your card and present for mil are lovely. Ceramic pot is really effective.

Caroline1973 - thanks for the mag code. Will check that out too. Have signed up for 5 CSC for £5 too.:D

b_e_g - I haven't tried felting, but would like to one day as I really love the effects it can produce. What is the kit you are doing for your mum?

Coxy11 - interview sounds a bit of a nightmare. It would put me off too although it may be different once you got to know the staff.

Tonight I was showing my mum the Cut Thru Stable kit that I purchased yesterday for £12.78 and it's doubled in price!! Did think it was a bit of a bargain as all the other cut thrus were twice the price. I'm now thinking that price was a mistake but they appear to have honoured it, if it was, as I have a despatch confirmation. Really chuffed as I love it and I never get bargains!:T :D

Kitten home from vets (cost put on farm account so got until end of next month to pay).

He's under strict instructions to keep toe clean and keep him contained, so in dog crate in barn. Feeling guilty though as he's used to his freedom.

Making myself do an hours stitching rather than sitting next to him.

Decided I could never cope with kids, get too stressed with animals :rotfl:

This is the stitch that I'm doing for Mum (bottle one). I think the colours are even nicer in real life. So pleased to be using something out of my stash.

Well done on cut thru bargain. :T

was reading last night o didnt get any stitching done, my mum had read and passed on mia dolans book the gift, its all about mias life and her psychic powers. such an open honest book dont think icould have coped with all the hurt and problems life seems to have put her way. Not my usual book but im glad i read it. Sign of a good story to me is the fact i couldnt put it down and read it in a day!

    Maria - lovely stitch :T

Mrs M - just finished The Book Thief in the wee small hours. Thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely recommend. Looking forward to seeing film to see how it compares - apparently it has been dumbed down so that they can make it a 12 rating. This is the first book I've read using the kindle app on ipod and found it worked a treat. Made reading in bed so easy.

Will pop a picture in over the weekend of the latest stitch.

    Enjoy your weekend everyone.

all i can say b_e_g is take tissues if you go to see the film. i thought i would hate it as i loved the book so much. Death still narrates and has such a kindly comforting voice i knew from the moment i heard him speak the film would be ok. about a third of the way in DH say is it comparing i cant decided if you a spellbound or speechless in horror. I literally couldnt talk, by the end tears were rolling down my face and i still didnt want to talk to anyone as i really felt very emotional. when i finally composed myself i asked DD3 what she thought and her reply "It was ok"

    glad you enjoyed the book

Shopping and washing this morning. Hoovered the car after lunch and then I decided to reward myself with an afternoon of stitching ;)

This is how far I have stitched so far.
