Kez - still loving your tea design.
Thanks All that commented. Exciting times ahead, as I am about to start the top section of the stitching, just another 3 teapots and the banner to go.

...Now I'm doing a scarf and I'm actually really enjoying it. As many of you know, I've not done any cross stitch in a long time (10 months, maybe? :( ) but at least I'm doing something creative again now.
Creative is good, doesn't matter what it is. ;) I also knit and would love to learn crochet one day... if I ever get my project list up to completion.

I wonder if I could ask your opinions. I'm doing a silver wedding sampler and in the date it shows to put present year 2014, when I've done samplers before I've always put the date of the marriage which in this case would be 1989. Which do you think would look right.

I've done one of these, but for a Ruby Wedding Anniversary, and while I don't have a picture of it, I'm pretty certain that I put the year of the anniversary being celebrated.

What I am wondering is which pieces of equipment do you have that you use a lot? And what do you regret buying because it was a waste of money? I am going to buy some new threads so not looking for them and I am never short of ideas for kits. I have a floor standing light which I love, but not a lot else. Any ideas?
For me the following items are now essential:
Needle Organiser: http://www.sewandso.co.uk/Products/Pako-Needle-Organiser__PAK-700050M.aspx - Great for big projects with lots of colours.
Seat Stand: http://www.sewandso.co.uk/ran2052-0.html - Means I can stitch while using my settee's recliner. ;)
Easy Clip Frame: http://www.sewandso.co.uk/Products/18-x-9-Easy-Clip-Rotating-Frame__ELB-E1809.aspx - Good for setting up your project and the tension is unfallible.

    Sunday Update:
I have done really well for stitching this week, despite not picking it up very often. Happily I have finished the bottom of the picture as well as the french knots that are dotted throughout. Next week we begin the top of the stitching.

    Hi all,

Sweetcarer has asked me if I'd pop in to see you all and post on her behalf. You'll have noticed she's been a bit quiet the last week, unfortunatly her mum was rushed into hospital and placed on the high dependancy ward. As to be expected Sweetcarer's been a bit pre-occupied.

We know how great the cafe is for caring, and how we get a bit concerned if anyone is MIA more than a few days so she just wanted me to let you know that she may be away a little longer (or lurking and not posting) as her mum sadly passed away today.

I know we'll all be thinking of her and here if she needs to talk.

loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

Chicky - thanks for popping in. You know we miss you. Its really sad that the last couple of times you've posted have been bringing bad news.

My thoughts and prayers go to Sweetcarer and her family.

Chicky - is the cat design one you are stitching or for Sweetcarer?

Morning everyone, just popping in before the princess gets up and the week begins!

Sweetcarer - I'm sorry to hear about your mum, my thoughts are with you and your family.

beg - I really like your tree, what are you planning on doing with it?

Maisie - The cards are lovely, I haven't made any cards yet but am going to do a Mother's Day one this year. I liked the funky flower designs in the Cross Stitch Card mag.

kez - The dictionary of teas is coming along really well. I love these designs but can't decide which one I would do!

Chicky - I remember you from when I posted a while ago. I've had a look at your blog and there are some lovely stitches on there.

Alisb - how's Henry coming along? Photo please!! I'm quite into kings and Queens and he is one of my favourites!

I was going to post a pic of dolly but she is very nearly finished so will wait until then x
