Thankyou for all your advice, I think I'll put this year, my friend has a long name so I think to try and put both years in there would make it look squashed

The only problem i see with that is it's kind of a beginning and an end date.

I'd never thought of it like that

I think because it also says Silver Anniversary I'd be ok with that, but yes, good point :D

    Well done, Louise.
Never nice, I know, but a gentle reminder to us all how important these things are. For those of you who don't know, we lost our friend & fellow stitcher to cervical cancer recently, so make sure you're up to date with your smear test! :)

Mine was last week! Never enjoyable but needs to be done.

No stitching for me today as I was at work from 7am until 5pm and then had hair cut and coloured and now it's nearly bedtime!

  • Still working on the photo stitch but i have also decided to start the vintage one at the same time. I've nearly finished page 5 0f 6 of the first, and just done the letter T from the second one.

I know with my Dolly Mamas, I struggled to find a frame as they're an unusual size. I used wooden bell pull ends and hemmed the edges to stop them fraying. Worth checking Ikea, though. I know they sell brightly coloured frames and you could maybe get a mount cut to size. I love those designs-always make me smile. :)

This made me dig out the box and check the size, I see what you mean! I think a trip to Ikea is in order, DH will not be impressed!

If its a strange size could you alter the border so that it fits into a "standard" size frame? May take a little longer to finish but might be cheaper in the long run.

    This is a good idea.
Also I think you can see the sizes of ikea frames online, so you can view if there will be something suitable before making a trip there.

I hadn't thought of that. Will have to have a think and look at frame sizes.
