Good evening girls,
Hope you are all well this Sunday.
I have finished part 3 of my learning sampler - so now on to part 4 - I am about a week ahead of the schedule but I know some in the group are way in front.
So here it is
Part 4 has the satin stitch border, cross stitch and another new stitch - an eyelet - in this case a diamond eyelet over 10 threads.
Have made a start to the summer sampler so but not much to have an update.
Nice to see updates, sorry to hear about the upsets some have, I made some cupcake other day there - decorated them all nice and about to take them into hubby slipped and they all fell iced side down - so a bit squished.
Kind wishes to all,
sweetcarer
PS excuse tee shirt under stitching.:j cross stitch forever, housework whenever :j0 -
No stitching today - we dragged ourselves out at 7am and went to a car boot sale to sell some old toys - made £120
Since it was mostly the kids old stuff, we have put the money aside to pay for treats in the run up to Chrismas for them (including the Cinema to see 'Frozen' - can't wait

Almost finished page 8 (out of 35) of the monochrome monstrosity. Just got too tired yesterday to see the holes in the fabric.
I'm hoping to get that page finished tonight - will post an update later. (That might just ensure I actually do it, if I've promised on here!)0 -
Good morning everyone. Busy weekend for me with working Sat and visitors Sun but did manage to finish my exchange card
I started a card and an ornament and hope to finish the ornament as well and then decide which to send.
Re posting methods I would prefer to stick to standard first class mail as recorded will mean one of those annoying cards to cole t from the sorting office which is not open at times convenient for me but I don't want to impose my views on others
Mara Great progress on the numbers. Really felt for you with the kitchen accident. We can probably all share something similar and no matter how hard you try there always seems to be an odd splash you miss and see later
Your stockings are fabulous. Are they xs or needlepoint (wool)? I particularly love the patchwork effect one. Snowmen are really cute
The piece for your Mum is beautiful and I'm sure she will love it
mos. Love your window quilt and thanks for the link to the instructions. Great idea and very :money:
hippipal . Lovely to know you are spending time with your new GS who is probably already the love of your life
louise. Your names in a frame are stunning and a real bargain for the lucky recipient
Love those heart frames (and what you put in them)
magscat. Expecting an update photo pleas
Maisie. Hope Hobbycraft won and it was a good trip
mrsmp I'm sure your dd will love the piece you have stitched (and designed) for her
sweetcarer. Hope you are feeling a bit better. Learning sampler is lovely. When you get a minute could you give me a few more details about the next one as I couldn't see anything she I followed your link (it was the rainbow effect one)0 -

Mos hope you managed to get some stitching donetoday. It's a pain when other people spoil your 'you' time.
Mrs Ceejay looking forward to seeing the peacock update.
Mrs MP the finished plaque looks great and I'm glad your daughter liked it. The book sounds interesting, I reread Flowers in the Attic recently (a bit similar) which I really enjoyed in my late/teens early twenties but didn't so much this time round so don't think I will read the others.
Beg I really fancy seeing the film especially as it has Judi Dench in it, who I absolutely love. Do you think you will be able to stop stitching long enough to read it??
sweetcarer the sampler is really coming along, and it's fantastic to be learning new stitches.
louise well done on your success at the car boot sale.
mags cat looking forward to the update (more pressure for you to do some:D)
Fos I am happy to go along with what ever everyone wants to do re postage, I hadn't thought about having to collect from the sorting office if you miss the post.
JCS1 - I really like that abc. The colours are lovely for a nursery and the pictures are really pretty - love woof for 'w' lol.
Went to hobbycraft yesterday and got the bits I wanted but couldn't find anything massively inspiring I wanted (looking for ideas for DH to get me for xmas). Think I may go for a lapstand though and I like the one on sew and so, so I will get him to order that (for starters lol).0 -
I'm looking to sell/swap my lap frame pm me if you are interested Maisie13 in 2013 challenge 9/130

Great pics sweetcarer, mrs mp and jcs1
Brilliant result at car boot Louise.
I might have stitching out by next weekend Maisie. Don't have much spare time this week, but will take book up to bed with me (trouble with that is I get comfy, then fall asleep and get woken up when the book falls on the floor).
Well stay warm everyone
