    hi everyone,

not posted for a few days, Mum's in hospital with suspected pulmonary embolism and a touch of pneumonia which at age 89 is scarey. Absolutely no idea how treatable (or otherwise) it will be.

My sister is visiting today as Mum can only tolerate an hour or so, I'll go tomorrow. I just can't settle to do any stitching, but gardening relaxes me a bit.

Anyway it's so nice and cheery to see all your work and your plans - especially that Venice work of art !

    Speak to you soon

    Linda xx

Sorry to hear about your Mum. No wonder you can't settle to stitching.

Flinging these up before I head round to my mums to watch the Murray match. Will catch up on posts tonight :)

This is what I have been doing for the past month:

This is one of a set of 3 (A, T and S) I made for my DD and her two best friends to commemorate the end of their first year at primary.

I designed and stitched this for a friend who is moving home. The family is Irish so I thought it would be perfect for them:

This is JE's Fairy Godmother which was in a recent issue of WOXS. I loved stitching her, the only bit I didn't like was the backstitch writing in metallic but that didn't take too long.

Unusually for me, I even made an effort to keep the back neat:

    Awesome

    I love them all

    Thanks for sharing

    Hope you enjoy the match

I'm just filling in a block of colour and managed less than that!

I know there's this all he's Scottish/British thing, but I have a soft spot for Andy Murray. What he must have gone through as a child being at Dunblane on the day of those awful shootings, and then reaching the top in tennis - he must be a very strong person inside.

Tennis was AMAZING!! I was on the edge of my seat. Really hope he wins on Sunday. :j:j:j

Ailsb - Glad those lines faded. Not the best way to get a result but at least your piece is saved.

Maria - Bella and boo designs are lovely, I like the little girl with the dove best :)

Mrs moneypenny - can't believe how much trouble you have had with that kit! Really glad you got a nice (and fat) reply from them, and that they will hopefully make some changes fro future stitchers.

Chicky - hope you found a small stitch. I had a free trial of Amazon prime when I got my kindle in December last year - it was wonderful in the run up to christmas, but I wouldn't pay the yearly fee for it.

Coxy - welcome to the group. Please post a pic and let us see your progress :)

Sweetcarer - The heart design is so touching, what a lovely sentiment.

luckycat - glad to hear you have been inspired...and also tempted by the links (they are my downfall too!!) I can't beat 20 years on a WIP though - mainly because I have only been stiching for 19 years so far :D

gildius - good luck with your next project, it looks fantastic

erics mum - sorry to hear about your mum, wishing her a good recovery x

I am now working on the little mermaid from the recent WOXS, but am cheating and using marbled blue aida instead of stitching all the blue background :D
