  • Shelly, I love the design you are doing, where is the original from?

Nmm - BD is looking amazing, bet you are glad there isn't any back stitch! :D

Mrs-Ceejay - the dinosaurs are beautiful, did they take you long to do?

Mrs-Moneypenny, I can't wait to see how this turns out. I have been looking at these kits for ages but am never sure how easy they are to complete

I finally finished my stocking yesterday evening and just the back stitch to do  I am tempted to start my Christmas exchange stitching though as I keep sitting and looking at it, champing at the bit to start it and now I only have back stitch to do on my Dad's stocking it seems to be calling even louder to me :rotfl: here is an update.......

Sorry, didn't mean for the whole sentence to be bold, me and technology don't go very well together, I will try harder next time, promise! :-)

Beautiful and you have stitched it really quickly

Loving everyone's updates...think the dark autumn days seem to be inspiring most of us to just wrap up warm, shut the curtains and stitch (or is that just me??):rotfl:

Have today and tomorrow off work, managed to do all my shopping and housework by lunchtime so been sitting stitching this afternoon:T ... but now wish I worked part time or not at all :(

Discovered I've made a bit of a boo boo on the stitching front when I was tired the other day, but decided it makes the piece unique so I refuse to unpick it...besides it would take for ever and you can't tell!

Right now need to decide what to have for tea, I have a lovely smelling curry in the slow cooker, but think I'll leave that until tomorrow as always tastes better the day after. Fish finger sandwiches sound good at the minute :)

Hope everyone gets a chance to do some stitching later x
  • Not had much time to pop into the Cafe or stitch for the last few days :(. Well as soon as I got in tonight I had a quick bath, pjs on, carryout curry from Mr. M's in the oven (easy tea just for me and DH) and then I will be back in the Cafe to have a good catch up with you all. :D

Going to finish off (not tonight) the xmas card I am stitching then I think I had better tackle the making up of 12 Days hanging.

    See you all later,

  • Welcome to the Cafe:hello:

TMIF - love your bag and it looks so neatly finished. Is it for you or is it a xmas pressie? Sorry if you've already said but I'm just trying to play catch-up with all the posts.

    pm2326 - loving panda update

sweetcarer - your xmas pudding is fantastic. Colours on spring sampler are beautiful. Looking forward to next update of learning sampler. Had to use smyrna stitch for Nativity border - so thanks to you I had an idea what it was like. Made a very effective border. :)

luckycat99 - gorgeous wedding sampler. I'm sure the newly weds will love it too. :T

rhaben - oh your reindeer is a real cutey. I have never seen cross stitch used in this way before. I'm not very good at 'normal' stitching :rotfl::rotfl:

Ruth_honey - lovely to see you popping into the Cafe. Hope you enjoy your book. I fancied starting a book the other day, so I popped into our library and tried to order Andrea Begley's new book (the young girl who won The Voice) and apparently it isn't on the system so I couldn't order/reserve it. The only trouble with reading is - it will mean less stitching time which isn't probably a good idea at this time of the year. Oh well ............ ;)

Coxy - well done on completing Flowershop - it looks beautiful. :T

shelly - rose garden is coming along nicely. Love the colours and your work looks so neat.

Mrs Ceejay - bet the boys will love the dinosaurs. Snow leopard looks great too. Good luck with the petit point.

Mrs MP - stocking is amazing. Love the tin man.

nmm - love BD update. You're getting there ;)

mos - great progress with Dad's stocking. Good luck with all that bs.

Louise - good luck with the Halloween Disco.

Mrs. MP - what a lovely idea to make up a cross stitch starter pack. You never know - we may have another Cafe member in the making. :rotfl:

Well I think I'm up to date with all the posts now. Feel a bit too tired to get the stitching out tonight. Might manage a little bit tomorrow afternoon as I will be busy tomorrow night on my broomstick :p:D

    Take care everyone

Finished my book. Really enjoyed it, although the ending was different from the tv series, which threw me a bit. Whizzing through 'Skipping christmas' now as I have other library books to collect and I've got the maximum amount checked out already! :o
How annoying about the Andrea Begley book. Maybe they'll get in it soon? I'm guessing no other libraries in the area have it and can send it to your local? I'm sure it would be on the system if they did. Just checked our online one and it's not there either, which means London doesn't have it! Is it very very new?
