  • mrsceejay I know what you mean about some kits. If it were me I would put it to one side and work on something else for a while - but then I always have a few projects in progress and I know that doesn't suit everyone

Love your dinosaurs and I'm sure the recipients will too. Why are little boys so fascinated by dinosaurs? We've taken nephews and grandsons to the Walking with Dinosaurs live shows and they were enthralled

coxy Flower Shop is A-MAZ-ING You must be so thrilled with it.

I haven't decided on the backing fabric yet although I am taking note of the fact that most of you preferred the cream and gold.

If you have a sewing machine Stockings aren't difficult to make - I wouldn't attempt making one by hand though. Happy to share my method if you are ever tempted.

Right decision about the Guides - don't waste your stash - you can put it to far better use

shelly I agree that the actual colours of Rose Garden are nicer than the picture I love the design

Louise I have done a review of the latest issue of Cross Stitch Collection as [STRIKE]instructed [/STRIKE] requested :D

  • Hi,
    nmm,
I just love your BD,It makes me want to stroke his fur,how big will it be when finished?
I have my mothers threads(about 6 boxes in all) as she can't sew anymore, only trouble is each box is numbered differently,so the same col and no. can be in 2 or more boxes and there is 1 box, full to bursting with no numbers at all, sorting them is going to be a major job which I keep putting off!

I hate being busy and not having stitching time :( it's been a hectic few days, and it was DS1' s 14th birthday so we had family over tonight :)

Rhaben - that reindeer is amazing :T how long did it take to stitch together? I'm afraid that would be the part that would put me off doing it myself, 'normal' stitching doesn' seem to agree with me :o

Fos- thanks for doing a review, I will head there next :D:T

Mrs ceejay- hope you're okay, it must be so difficult having family so far away :(

Coxy - sorry to hear the guides parents weren't interested :( better to know before you went to the bother of supplying kits I guess. On a brighter note....flower shop is gorgeous!:j

I didn't time myself on this one. I'm going to take a guess at around 75 hours. A normal doll takes me about 50 hours and this one was not normal.
