I hope all of you are safe today. The weather over there made the US news today. Sounds like a hurricane with those kinds of wind.

I've been reading all of your posts over the past few days, but haven't wanted to take the time away from my reindeer to post. I love all of the pictures you've been showing.

I finished the reindeer and am now stitching Santa to go with him. Here is the finished deer. I'm really, really happy with how he turned out.

Oh wow! I didn't think he'd look that at all. It's amazing! Like a cross stitched cuddly toy. So unusual. Nice work, rhaben.

Love the Mr & Mrs sampler too. I've admired that design myself before. It looks great stitched up.

Still no stitching for me. I'm hooked on my current book-Ice Cream Girls-at the moment. Saw the tv series on demand and it made me want to read the book. I'm really enjoying it. After I'm done, I'll try and get back into my stitching. Maybe something Christmassy and simple...

Hope everyone is doing ok and the storm hasn't caused any problems for you. We've been ok, although the neighbours fence has blown down. And the wind woke me up at 6am! Calmed down a lot now, mind.

Thanks to all the girls in the Cross Stitch Cafe! You're all fantastic! :A
  • Rhaban - the reindeer looks amazing, completely different to how I had pictured it in my minds eye!

I am desperately trying to keep my concentration on my stitching, problem is DD has heard of 3 lion head rabbits looking for homes, they are free and with 2 hutches. I keep telling her not to disturb me but I know I will have to discuss it at some point and I am rubbish at saying no, especially for cute wabbits!

Anyone any ideas how long I can claim to be incommunicado?
  • mos the magazines were a great bargain as you have clearly fallen in love with these designs (and I can see why)

coffeeandstitches good to hear you are making progress with your HAED

louise hint about other magazine reviews duly noted :D

mrstm hope you are OK Sending positive thoughts your way

luckycat your wedding sampler is beautiful - I think it is a design by Historical Sampler Company - I really like their work. I am sure your sister will appreciate your gift

    rhaben love the 3D reindeer

ruthhoney thanks for popping in again. It is difficult to get away from a really engaging book - there just aren't enough hours in the day

Has anyone ever voted in the British Craft Awards that feature in WOCS and Cross Stitch Crazy?

I'm probably not the person to ask (since I love bunnies and own two at the moment), but, GET THEM! :rotfl:

I'm worse than that! I love ALL animals and have had some very different pets over the years. For example, my avatar is a drawing I made of one of a litter of foxes I raised.

Get the bunnies, you know you want them, just get the bunnies...
  • You lot are a terrible influence! I worry that I won't be able to give them the time they need. We have had house bunnies in the past but these live outside and I do already have 2 dogs and 2 cats

DD spoke to her step dad and he has said she can have them if she wants them.......a lot of help he is! :rotfl:

The two bunnies are the only things that the landlord (and my husband) will allow here, but before I moved, I have owned and raised: rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbils, mice, rats, spiny mice, pygmy mice, degus, sugar gliders, chickens, ducks, guineas, and I owned lots of snakes (corn snakes, black snakes, and ball pythons), a veiled chameleon, bearded dragons, a dog, and a cat (bottle raised). I know that there are some I'm forgetting as well! :o

WOW this is amazing and has cheered me up after a tedious day. So from remembering your previous posts, do you stitch all the individual bits on aida? and then sew together?
